Stayed here multiple times during my Durban visits. Clean and well kept rooms , helpful and friendly staff. Two attached restaurants PLATED serving breakfast and lunch , sandwiches and the other one BUTCHER BOYS serving good steaks.
I would like to stay here again.

Visited Durban for five days, picked Florida park for location mainly.
The property is in a nice area within easy distance of great restaurants and bars.
I found the staff so nice and helpful , helping to book taxi trips..

Room quality is actually okay, nothing to complain about besides a rattling AC. Severe internet issues, the internet was down several times a day for few hours at the time, confusing internet access across multiple networks, nobody knows which password is for which to at the desk. AVOID it on Saturdays, absolutely booming music will not let you sleep until 0200 or 0300 am, I know it a little bit out of management control but sound proofing the windows on the club side is absolutely a must. Overall I would avoid it for weekend stays and if you need reliable internet access, location however is excellent and safe

Worst experience ever in my life.

2.- receptionist rude and unprofessional same as her manager.
3.- A lot of noise in some rooms during weekends.

I am currently in this hotel for 2 nights. I stayed here about 4-5 years ago and really enjoyed it however this year... Worst experience I have ever experienced. You are not warmly welcomed at reception. I had to wait for 30mins before the receptionist came down to help me. Next the use of their old school credit card facility needing all card details (including the CVV pin) even after SMS proof shown that the transaction went through??? First room I was sent to was 120.. Terrible, dirty, smelt like smoke and sheets were stained hair all over the place and no toilet paper. I requested to be moved and was changed to another room... Pretty much the same as 120. Don't rely on their wake up service as it does not work. Anyways I would definitely not recommend this place and I can't wait to check out!!!

I spent a night at the hotel, in one of the most comfortable beds ever, and found it to be clean and well looked after. The art exhibition is a nice touch and the staff were friendly yet professional.

This is a lovely hotel with friendly staff, spacious rooms and great location on Florida road. However the night club ruins this hotel. While the night club itself is not noisy, its the patrons who leave the club at 3AM who are vulgar, violent, drunk and create so much noise that its impossible to get a good rest. Visit this hotel during the week but avoid Fridays and Saturdays as the nights are too rowdy. If only one could get rid of the night club...

This is a 1 star hotel. The room is ok . Bed and shower ok. BUT no fridge. We love our early morning tea. So the milk went off. NO DECENT PARKING. Only 12 parking bays. 2 are obstructed by trees. So they park opposite the bays and you cannot get your turn in. We in a nite club neighbourhood. The roads are littered with people and loud music. You cannot tell this from the website. I did not check on Tripadvisor before I booked. So the nite club customers literally park in the hotel parking. The security either allows them in or just dont care. The first night I had words with a car driver in our parking. Told him he must get out. He stayed! I reported this this to the receptionist. Not friendly. Knew about the problem. Could do nothing. Reported this to the manager the next morning. Not intetested. No smile. Not Friendly. Made some excuse that the hotel was full. But he said he did instruct the security to place a "Tenants only" board at the parking entrance.

No Dining or breakfast facilities at this hotel. Although their website shows a picture of food. This is misleading. You must go across the road to a restaurant. They serve bacon for breakfast. So we as Muslims only had the yoghurt and fruit with roasted meusli. Tasted old. Tea ok but mango juice tasted "old".
Hotel not for families.

Staying here for the AIDS conference and though simple, it is clean, friendly and has a good hot breakfast included. The curry beans & veggies are so yummy I go back for seconds and eat it every morning. Also with row sausages, bacon, tomatoes, eggs. Seem each morning is the same but happy with it for 6 day stretch. Location is near a nice stretch of restaurants and shops. Has an in room safe which you should read the directions carefully. Power plug at the desk area but not at the bed area.

About half an hour (32 Km) UBER is probably the best bet, although there are plenty of official cabs around the airport.

Sorry for late response! There are two excellent restaurants attached to the hotel- the butcher boys and the fish on Florida. Opposite is an excellent breakfast place
