Great central location with easy access to Durban and surrounds. Secure parking behind closed gates. Friendly and helpful staff. No frills accommodation, a desk and free wi-fi which is perfect for a business trip. I didn't have breakfast so I cannot comment on those facilities.

My stay at road lodge was great. The hotel is situated right in town near to shops and tourist attractions. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was cleaned everyday and bins were emptied daily. My only suggestion is for the room to have a mini fridge for perishable food.

The rooms are small and there are no overhead charging ports by the bed except on the study table across the room. There is also no landline provided for by the hotel to either call reception or laundry.Had to walk down the stairs to ask for an extra blanket which should have been there provided for in the room.Lastly the rooms are noisy as i could hear people walking, chatting and drinking alcohol by in the corridors.

we had a friendly reception on our arrive and assistance was the best from the knowledgeable staff member. the room was so clean and we appreciated the air-con since the room was hot inside. the hotel was not far from the beach and we had to walk there to appreciate the sea breeze and to see different areas for entertainment. the beach area was so clean and appreciated the beach guards, security and police around the area.

The hotel is a couple of kms away from the beach, if you do not want the stress of beign close to the crowdy beach. There is a near by food outlet for quick meals. you can literally walk to the Malls and other shoping centre. Covid protocal were observed. The security was really friendly through out our 2 day stay at the hotel. The hotel staff was very friendly, greeting us in the morning and afternoon when we return. The rooms are clean and have enough sunlight. Even though I had challenges with my online booking, the lady at the reception was quick to get me a room with a smile on her face. Everyone likes to get discounts, pehaps management could consider that if a walk in customer request for one.

Beautiful., accommodating, friendly, and accessible. Best service ever received in my traveling experience. The management made us feel welcome. My advice is to make food accessible like breakfast and/or supper. I won't regret going back.

terrible dirty and very untidy if I could rate I wouldn't even give it 1 star I was at the Durban road lodge on the 17th Dec 2018 and also booked at Richards Bay for the rest of my holiday stay but I would like to emphasis that I was very disappointed with the rooms at the Durban branch it was not clean and very untidy compared to richardsbay I do hope that you could change the star ratings as you do not compete in any way with richardsbay and yet the charges for Durban is extra compared to richardsbay sorry for the bad recommendations but I really did not like my stay at the Durban branch and would never visit the place again its pathetic
