We had a lovely weekend staying at the beautiful and stylish Ocean Vista Boutique Guest House. Snezana and her very competent team have created a safe haven near the hustle of Umhlanga Rocks. Set in a tropical garden we relaxed enjoying the spacious view from the roof top terrace. Room and breakfast were carefully selected and of highest quality. We enjoyed this place very much, the view on the roof was amazing, everybody was very friendly. Breakfast was very good. There was a safe car parking. We were close to the sea promenade and different restaurants.

We were warmly received and very well looked after during our stay by the owner and her delightful staff. The accommodation is very well designed, equipped and maintained. We very appreciated the magnificent view over the ocean from our bedroom and especially from the terrace. This was particularly enjoyable while indulging in breakfasts for kings. It was particularly impressive that the team were able to continue providing their professional service in the wake of the Durban floods and ensuing water restrictions... they certainly 'go the extra mile', even down to magical Zulu singing by Dorothy on our departure.

Ocean Vista is located very close to restaurants and shopping malls yet so quiet it felt lightyears removed from the hustle and bustle of Umhlanga. When we stepped inside the overall feeling we got was of cleanliness and brightness. Our room was perfect with everything we needed for our stay and of course the fabulous balcony with endless ocean views - what a bonus! I could sit there all day and just watch the ships go by. The bathroom was large and what a pleasure to feel the ocean breeze coming through the window whilst taking a bath! Breakfast had an excellent variety of choices and what better way to start the day with views of the ocean right in front of you. The lounge and outside spaces were all clean and inviting and the staff are all very friendly. Snezana certainly is the hostess with the mostest and spoiled us rotten at breakfast on our anniversary by surprising us with a lovely chocolate cake, bubbly and a balloon with "Congratulations" written on it. Unexpected and very thoughtful, thank you Snezana! This is the place to stay at in Umhlanga if you want peace and quiet and beautiful views to top it all.…

Beautiful guesthouse with spacious room and bathroom overlooking the sea. Extremely clean with a Nespresso machine and a few snacks. A perfect getaway place. A lovely friendly host that made us feel very welcome...we will definitely visit again. :)
