Awesome little owner-managed boutique guest house in beautiful manicured gardens. Everywhere you look is layer upon layer of incredibly interesting antique, art detailing. A thread of elegant interior design throughout.. Soft bed, plump pillows and crisp white linens. Pretty crockery and a home cooked, generous breakfast sets you up for the day. Super fast wifi to keep intouch! Loved it and have rebooked for next year!

My family & I stayed in this guest house for one night in September. The accommodation was arranged by the owners of Rosetta House (see my review). The guest house is in a safe residential area, about 5 minutes walk from Florida Road which is where you have lots of restaurants. Its also close to Durban ICC (about 10 minutes drive). and is therefore suitable for corporate visitors as well as tourists. The guest house is run by Haley who is very hospitable & friendly.

We had 2 rooms in this house and they were both beautifully decorated & spotlessly clean. The premises has a lovely garden and pool which you could enjoy in summer.

We had to leave the guest house at 7.45a.m. to catch a flight to Port ELizabeth & were delighted when Haley offered to have a breakfast ready for us at 7a.m. Thanks Haley much appreciated.
Breakfast was substantial, juice, fruit, cereals, tea, coffee, toast as well as a hot breakfast if desired.

Durban had a power outage on the evening we arrived, not a problem at all, showers were still hot & as Haley had provided us with torches we could find everything we needed easily.

Haley had organised a taxi to take us to the airport, when it did not arrive on time she was on to the firm immediately to ask why they had not arrived & to remind them that we were going to the airport. The taxi then arrived promptly following her intervention.

A lovely place to stay, nice and friendly and definitely one I would recommend.

I spent three months in this wonderful and cosy guesthouse. The hospitality of Haley, Julia and their staff was awesome and I always enjoyed the conversation with Haley and all the others around. The rooms are warmly and nicely furnished and within walking distance there is the famous Florida Road with all the bars and restaurants. I can only highly recommend this place to any other visitor of Durban.

Like another reviewer, I recently stayed here with my father while attending the World Cup tournament. I can only say, it was amazing. The Neuk is hosted by a warm and accommodating team (dare I say, family?) who went out of their way to ensure we had a comfortable stay, and even took the time to show us around parts of Durban.

The rooms and baths at The Neuk are amazing, furnished with the kind of furniture that we could only admire. The many tiny touches, made us aware of how much care and attention was taken in ensuring their guests were well taken care of.

The location of The Neuk is also excellent, being barely 5 - 7 minutes away from Florida Road - a very popular (and safe) area full of shops, bars and restaurants. Yet it is far enough to be quiet away from the bustle of the same Florida Road.

And of course, a marvelous, delicious breakfasts awaits its guests.

I can't say enough great things about The Neuk and its lovely hosts.

Once you park in front of the guesthouse, you are immediately wow-ed. Beautiful well taken care of house and garden. As you settle into your very comfortable well thought out room, you feel at home and totally relaxed. The whole property is absolutely spotless. It doesn't matter it you're travel for business, a weekend away, or just because, a wonderful place to stay, not even consider.

What an amazing gem. We stayed at The Neuk during the Comrades marathon and the service was fantastic. After the gruelling 90km race we were greeted by Hayley our friendly host and served tea in the room. The rooms are beautiful, quiet and breakfast is to die for. Walking distance from a local restaurant and coffee shop. I can highly recommend a stay here.

Spent a night over during a business trip. Well positioned right by Vide E Cafe, Mitchell Park Cafe, 20m distance! Room with lovely big, stunning bathroom, tricky internet connection, 2 Airoma airfresheners on the go unnecessarily, overcrunchy courtesy biscuits, but lovely suite all the same with quality linen. Breakfast was very special: divine room, super fresh choice of fruit, such a nice owner. Missing a pet or two, but otherwise totally quaint and beautifully served.

Thank you so much for bringing your concerns to my attention. My apologies about the internet, it has not been great. I now have a wireless modem which is much better now. I stayed for a week in a lovely suite in the garden. Very comfortable, very nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. A lovely breakfast every morning. It is just across the road from Mitchell Park and the restaurants of Florida Road are just around the corner. It also has easy road access to the beachfront.
A very friendly and helpful service, including a very pleasant surprise of finding my laundry sorted out while I was out.

Family owned and run - so you'll get nothing but friendly and personal service. Large, beautifully decorated bedrooms - blissfully quiet even though the house is on a busy road. Slept like the proverbial log. Each bedroom is beautifully unique - there's nothing bland and boring here. Highly recommended.
