My stay was pleasant and peaceful. The accommodation provided for my needs which included the much needed Wi-Fi for work related matters and the air conditioned room. Rooms were clean with the bedding changed daily. The location was excellent and close to amenities. The parking facilities were good and well secured. Service was excellent. The rates were also reasonable.

I stayed here for 3 nights recently and it was a lovely place. Easy to locate, beautiful grounds (two pools!) and clean, comfortable rooms with very good air conditioning (important!). The entire staff was very friendly, even the security guard knew me by name. The daily breakfast was delicious.

The hotel itself is walking distance from a grocery store as well as a busy street with lots of restaurants. It's a ~15 minute Uber ride to the beach and some other main attractions. And for the price, I feel like you can't get much better of a value. I would definitely recommend staying here.

The unit is clean and functional, but quite a few things was not up to standard for a high quality self catering venue.
The cutlery is very flimsy - we used our own.
The pots was not cleaned properly. We had to scrub it before first usage.
There is a toaster.
No table to sit and eat at. Only a coffee table in front of the tv for eating at.
Air con unit in the living room /kitchen area was not very cold. Had to keep it on permanently to get any effect.
The first bedroom does not have an aircon.
There is no bed lamps in either bedroom.
The sheets had holes in them. This should be replaced.
The bathroom does not have any towel rails.
The shower has no soap holder.
Not a lot of provision for loadshedding was done. 1 tiny battery operated light. Bring your own portable lights for loadshedding.

Positives:
The wifi worked fine.
Aircon in the second room work very well.
The beds was comfortable.
The venue does have a washing machine.

Suggestions:
A tumble dryers would be very nice - it rained for 3 days solid - no way to dry clothes or towels.
Make more provision for people who want to do remote working. Provide a table and chair.
I went to buy a plastic chair because the venue had no chairs that I could use to sit at a table. I took my own foldup table.

Lack of full essential customer care, rooms are not cleaned, beds not made, no toilet tissues, no bedside lamps nor anywhere to hang stuff or reading desk or table. No amply form of assistance at all, you are left on your own.

Customer care does not exists at all.

Beautiful place, very clean room and bath toilet facilities. Old furniture in the room created a feeling of the old days, staff very polite and helpful especially Zinhle. No problem staying there again.

The staff were friendly, and the service was excellent. I enjoyed my stay, the environment was conducive for my business, the place is well located in an area that is noise free.

The availability of solar power makes the place more attractive as eradicates the challenges of load shedding.

Roseland House was pretty much great. We booked a four sleeper place which had two bed rooms however the bedroom I was sharing with a friend the covers and sheets had stains so we were forced to share a bed in the other room which had clean sheets. I know Durban summer there are alot of mosquitoes but I think the room we were at had more because of the open drainage outside, we might all know that mosquitoes are attracted to swamps/dampness so it would be great if the house management were to address this. All in all our experience in the house was good, we enjoyed the pool so much and the quiet location 👏🏽

First it was a hustle to check in, they receptionist asked us 100 questions on the intercom instead of letting us in and then asked us. And when we got in, the room was not yet prepared. The breakfast was also terrible, only if the images from the internet weren’t deceiving

My room was not clean, they were feathers on the floor from the day I checked in until I checked out. The carpet and the wardrobes were smelling so bad I was sneezing the whole night. I had to request toilet paper from the reception because there was none in my room. The wifi was not working at all.
