Detailed Reviews
The hotel is on the beachfront without you having the hustle and bustle. Upon arrival, we had a lot of open parking as that was one of our worries. Reception was extremely busy but they helped us very fast. We had a lovely room with a great view. Toiletries was exceptional and was replenished daily. We were 3 people and was nice to have a separate room for my mother but stay in the same unit. The fridge can be cleaned more often as we could not make our own ice and reception wanted to charge us R 40 for a bucket. After I complained, they gave us the ice. Unfortunately, other guests was very noisy, even late at night. They came out of their rooms, shouting at their friends far away in another room. The same ladies did that at breakfast and it was very noisy. Breakfast was lovely with a wide variety of food. Wi-fi was good. Would recommend this establishment.

We loved this hotel, our little gem ~its always been good value for money and the best location. So after a long lock down this was our getaway place of choice. But it hasn't aged gracefully. The decor and furnishings need a setiuos make over. The buttons in the lift dont all light up so you dont knkw if its working. In our room we had problems with the door constantly jamming & the key card having to be reset. The safes buttons were problematic. The cupboard hinges were worn and the damaged in both rooms we booked, our toilet seat was broken, and our phone didnt work so we couldn't contact reception or our other room and despite having reported these on the first day some things were only attended to two days later. We love this place but unless it gets a makeover and some maintenance ~ its going to deteriorate into one of those terrible hotels 😔

Booked 2 rooms for my wife and i and my dad over the christmas weekend. We stayed here 3 nights. Loved every moment of it. Breakfast was so awesome i didnt want to leave...spent an hour each day there.. my room was spotless and everything worked perfectly. The view from my room of the indian ocean is so good... i have stayed at this hotel many times over the years and i love that i am staying with someone i know, knowing what to expect , knowing, i will be greeted with a smile, knowing the awesome scent one gets when you enter the hotel lobby. Id like to thank 2 of my friends there natasha and bonga who are OUTSTANDING at what they do. I will be back end of april 2022.

Fabulous location on the north beach seafront, with great views. The room was extremely comfortable and it was great having a fridge and basic facilities. I worked there for a few hours very comfortably at their table, which also has good accessible wall sockets. The breakfast is in an amazing 11th-floor room with wonderful views and the food was mostly very good (chips were cold, but that was my only complaint). Staff were all very helpful. Parking secure. This hotel was much cheaper than neighbouring ones.

+1
Belaire Suites Hotel is located right on the sea shore with an excellent view of the Indian Ocean. What I liked of the hotel is the excellent location. The hotel is very clean and the staff were very friendly. The breakfast was very sumptuous and the restaurant in the roof top had a great ambience looking right across to the water front.
My check out was at 10 am and my flight was only at 6pm, there was a facility in the hotel where I could sit an relax.

It's near the ocean and there are a number of tourist and local restaurants. Pick/Pay just behind the hotel with a very good local middle eastern restaurant( with good prices too).
Hotel offers very nice breakfast and a lot of selections. Service at the front desk was very friendly.
A bottle of water is provided every day. AC works great.
Bad: Some rooms have roaches... but staff will move you if you ask. Question is, why not provide constant disinfection to avoid this.
1st room wasn't very clean and had a lot of dust. 2nd room was much cleaner. However, the toilet area smelled really bad. Not sure if it's because of the water or something else, but there was a strong urine/sewage smell and cleaning did not help. Short stay so after moving already we decided not to complain to be moved again. Also, 1 request with the front desk went ignored, but it's ok...
What I really dislike is the fact bathroom/toilet window faces the corridor. So, some privacy is lost.
I do want to note that this hotel is not located in an "elite" neighborhood such as Umhlanga. It seems to be an area with a good mix of locals and some tourists. It definitely has a real Africa feel than the tourist-resort place such as Umhlanga. We did enjoy this area more than Umhlanga as it had fewer tourist, the beach is WAY better here as well, if it's your thing. Less bars and restaurants and less noisy. More laid back and real.
We would probably go back here if we stay in this area again.

I’m really disappointed with my whole experience at this hotel. Firstly the WiFi was not working secondly I orders wings and chips and there was a large piece of plastic in the food. They had grilled the plastic that the wings are taken out of. I’m really disappointed because I really use to like this hotel and it has such a great location. I definitely will not be be staying again.

Very nice hotel close to the beach. Great food and drinks at the restaurant and a nice meeting place for fellow travelers. I had a gorgeous view of the Indian Ocean from my room. I was upgraded to a king bed suite for no extra charge which was very nice of them. The bed was comfortable and the room was well maintained with good climate control. Breakfast buffet options were tasty and filling, I do wish they just had coffee for pouring instead of needing to order one every time you want a cup. It looked like there were chairs to eat outside at one point but they were closed off. The shower tub was a little difficult to get in and out of, even as a pretty tall person with long legs (6ft 3 in). Area beyond 0.5km inland was not safe with people in the street who will follow and harass you for money. Hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful with arranging transport to the airport and recommending where to buy food for my hiking trip as well as a South Africa-compatible phone charger.

Yes as others have said the internet is sketchy at best and as my business is online it cost me alot to work my own internet. Offered a room change with no difference. Brerakfast manager a bit rude and tells me what I need to do, and I sat yesterday for 15 min waiitng to get a coffee while the manager and girls chatted and stayed on theri phones, only when I got up and walked over and asked did they move. The building over all is AVG. Air conditioner was useless
