Acorn B& B, Durban is a home away from home. Located high up in a beautiful neighborhood close to sea beach. It is warm and cozy and an oasis of calm and tranquility with lush tropical gardens, comfortable. It is clean and very well maintained with beautiful big size bed.
Mr. Don and Ms. Barbara are excellent hosts. Very caring, helpful and thoughtful. They went above & beyond their duties to make sure I am comfortable, even dropped me to nearby market places, cooked breakfast & dinners to my choices and preference.

This beautiful guesthouse was such a comfort to me during a stressful time of having to be close to the hospital where my husband had heart surgery. The hosts are professional, yet jovial. The breakfast was delicious. My favourite spot was to relax in the pool during the hours I was waiting to visit my husband. All and all, a superb experience.

Firstly service was good, meaning interaction when booking and upon arrival.
Rooms were not properly cleaned, used shower caps next to shower, Furniture falling apart, Decoration confusing, overwhelming and old, out side its clutted with lots of animal statues/sculptures - like zoo but not real zoo.. NB! Warn guests about dog in property
Location is okay but you must be mobile, cant walk around or your will need uber to decent eating places or chilling places.
Sadly I liked nothing about B&B at all

From the moment we arrived our hosts Don and his wife Barbara made us feel welcome and served up a hearty breakfast each morning. Our pool cottage was conveniently located next to the very clean pool. Parking was secure and the area is very quiet.

What a great stay at Acorn B&B. The host was friendly, the B&B is located in a quiet and safe area but close enough to entertainment in the Musgrave & Florida Road areas. The room was clean, spacious and private. We are definitely coming back! :)

All round perfect stay, didn't want to leave, negotiating with Don, the host who does the most, a permanent stay plan. Wonderful, wonderful place. The rooms are well kept, love the history on the walls most importantly it is the meticulous attention to detail that makes Acorn a superb accommodation

If you are looking for a well-located, cosy accommodation that is isolated from hustle and bustle, this place will be a great choice. The owner, Don, is a very accommodating host, who makes the stay a pleasant one. The facilities are well maintained. There are beautiful trees and bird-life adding to the serene atmosphere. Overall a good package for the price.

My stay was most amazing. The management was very welcoming, kind and easy to talk to.
The property is very secure, guaranteed privacy and peace of mind. My take away experience was when I came back from town with melted ice cream, which unfortunately couldn't fit in guest's reserved fridge, but Mr Don was kind enough to allow me to use his personal fridge without any hustle.
I highly recommend this accommodation and I'm definitely booking there again next time I go down to Durban. Highest praise.
