What a great stay at Acorn B&B. The host was friendly, the B&B is located in a quiet and safe area but close enough to entertainment in the Musgrave & Florida Road areas. The room was clean, spacious and private. We are definitely coming back! :)

All round perfect stay, didn't want to leave, negotiating with Don, the host who does the most, a permanent stay plan. Wonderful, wonderful place. The rooms are well kept, love the history on the walls most importantly it is the meticulous attention to detail that makes Acorn a superb accommodation

Firstly service was good, meaning interaction when booking and upon arrival.
Rooms were not properly cleaned, used shower caps next to shower, Furniture falling apart, Decoration confusing, overwhelming and old, out side its clutted with lots of animal statues/sculptures - like zoo but not real zoo.. NB! Warn guests about dog in property
Location is okay but you must be mobile, cant walk around or your will need uber to decent eating places or chilling places.
Sadly I liked nothing about B&B at all

WOW, what a review!!! Definitely the worst review we have received. At first, I thought you had got us mistaken for someplace else until you mentioned the Labrador dog who is as gentle and peace loving as can be. Unfortunately, we cannot please everybody. What a pity that you did not share your information with me during your stay with some constructive criticisms. Our decor is colonial/safari, and all our promotional pictures show exactly what we offer, if it was not your cup of tea, why did you choose to stay here? Regards the location to your favourite eating places - surely you can see how close or nearby it is from our establishment when you made your selection.

Acorn B& B, Durban is a home away from home. Located high up in a beautiful neighborhood close to sea beach. It is warm and cozy and an oasis of calm and tranquility with lush tropical gardens, comfortable. It is clean and very well maintained with beautiful big size bed.

Mr. Don and Ms. Barbara are excellent hosts. Very caring, helpful and thoughtful. They went above & beyond their duties to make sure I am comfortable, even dropped me to nearby market places, cooked breakfast & dinners to my choices and preference.

If you are looking for a well-located, cosy accommodation that is isolated from hustle and bustle, this place will be a great choice. The owner, Don, is a very accommodating host, who makes the stay a pleasant one. The facilities are well maintained. There are beautiful trees and bird-life adding to the serene atmosphere. Overall a good package for the price.

Acorn B&B is more than your regular B&B, it makes you feel at home yet on a getaway. The views are magestic, every morning you site beautiful birds and get the early morning sea breeze. The breakfast is delicious and served with love. Tammy(the Labrador) shows so mu h affection during your stay, you'd swear that you were family. The Wi-Fi is top of the range better than a hotel I stayed at the previous night.

Don Atkinson (owner) was always ready with a smile and joke to put one at ease. Don is very professional, laid-back and easy to talk to.

This beautiful guesthouse was such a comfort to me during a stressful time of having to be close to the hospital where my husband had heart surgery. The hosts are professional, yet jovial. The breakfast was delicious. My favourite spot was to relax in the pool during the hours I was waiting to visit my husband. All and all, a superb experience.
