Response from DON ATKINSON, Owner at Acorn B&B
Responded 1 week ago
None of his complaints was brought to my attention at the time. When this reservation was made all rooms were full so this guest had to have the room with a bathroom en suite that had a bath, baison and toilet - no shower as in other rooms. We are not a hotel and serve a full English breakfast which he did not want to eat. His opinion of the cereal......... not necessary correct. We have a water feature pond with gold fish on the opposite side of the property to his room. I am amazed he could hear the frogs from his room. He would have heard them from the car park. I assume this is the pool he is referring to as our swimming pool is definitely not green. No matter how hard we try we cannot be all things to all people

Acorn B& B, Durban is a home away from home. Located high up in a beautiful neighborhood close to sea beach. It is warm and cozy and an oasis of calm and tranquility with lush tropical gardens, comfortable. It is clean and very well maintained with beautiful big size bed. Mr. Don and Ms. Barbara are excellent hosts. Very caring, helpful and thoughtful. They went above & beyond their duties to make sure I am comfortable, even dropped me to nearby market places, cooked breakfast & dinners to my choices and preference.

Acorn B&B offers the best quality accommodation with pleasant hosts and ground staff. My room was clean, bed was comfortable and I was able to make good use of the balcony that offers a beautiful evening view of the city of Durban. The breakfast was amazing as well. I would definitely visit again.

Don, our host, was great! He is a Durban expert and is full of useful information and tidbits. His venue is wonderful and very comfortable. When it comes to breakfast preparations, his cooking was wonderful and oatmeal the best. We stayed four nights and experienced his kindness and generosity throughout our stay. We would not hesitate to stay again if we return to Durban.

Dons a very personable host with a friendly B&B. Quaint but comfortable with flat-screen and wifi. Garden and small pool landscaped well. Host prepared breakfast was always good. Very knowledgeable of Durban and South Africa and gave us great advice on places to go. Located near area attractions like the Botanic Garden and close to local malls and dining.
