From check in to check out I felt like a Queen, upgraded to room 602 which was just beautiful had its own private pool for 3 rooms however the property offers many pools I couldn't keep up.

602 had a large lounge with TV, beautifully decorared bedroom with it own TV, and such a touch of class, kitchenette if you wanted for self catering and a stocked mini bar Yay!

At 34 degrees I got into the pool with my iced glass of wine and my Louis Vuitton pizza from #Giogios# on premises restaurant hand delivered because I couldn't leave the pool , with sides of parmesan and garlic ( thank you Chef Lucky) I had to ask! normally a veg pizza "sucks" but this was incredible.

Then headed for my #Spa#treatment also on premises ( thank you TK you have amazing hands) and offered a complementary use of the Spa facilities as a guest - detox pool here I come 😀.
Headed back to 602 in my gown and slippers, so much space and tranquillity.

After a beautiful mushroom penne pasta, made by the chef with great company it was time to sleep.

Morning breakfast with a omlette ( breakfast chef is Lucia) no grease and 2 eggs just a perfect start to my day, with the white gown and slippers complementary use on your stay, I sat outside taking in how lucky life is and enjoyed every minute.

Had a bubble bath and said goodbye.

It's called a bucket list tick.

As a couple we have spent many days at this beautiful 5 star Hotel in Amanzimtoti. This hotel has many levels with a story of a family and how they have grown a 2 bed room home into what it is today.

#Georgios# literally has the best Pizza we have ever eaten and a Fillet to die for! Everything is fresh and yes maybe the pasta is not handmade ( who even does that in SA) but the pizza bases are Rolled to order and so is all the sauces and toppings.

#The Spa# you walk into a stunning , relaxed feeling , you now have some time out , everything is first class pamper . The salt detox pool is mind blowing as a couple to just float in .

#Rooms# the owners know how to pay attention to detail with all the little extras like pillow comfort, good linen, white towels , gowns and the amenities.

#Staff# from booking with Ashley, Lucky the lovely chef , Lucia making breakfast for us , Chis on Night Audit and Abigail who does our turndown, you make us feel like super stars.

Waking up in the morning is also such a pleasure , yes you not on the beach but its called The View because of the "View " a 360 degree delight of the Indian Ocean one that I miss everyday not being there.

Rates are very well priced with breakfast included how they do it I don't know as living in Cape Town you would be lucky to be able to afford the experience and quality.

Until we see you again thank you for always making our experience one to always remember.

The staff were extremely helpful and accommodated our changing needs easily. We had very good rooms with a lovely sea view but needed to change to a room which was more accessable. The ladies at reception arranged this very quickly.
The quaint restaurant served good food and we enjoyed the layout at the restaurant.
Well done to the team!

The view Hotel truly lives up to it's name with stunning ocean views. The rooms are modern and neatly appointed. The staff are courteous and friendly. We recently stayed at this property for a bit more than a week. To be honest there are a few niggles. The food and beverage offering is a miss. It's bland pretentious completely overpriced and lacks variety. The menu mainly consists of pizza and cream-based pasta. We only received a room service menu on our 4th day as we were told to order off the a la carte menu. There's not much to see there either. The pizzas are the best thing to go for but be prepared to fork out.The wine list is fairly generic. Be prepared to be charged R30 for your ice! Bezaar I know right?!The spa is dated and looks a little tacky, to be frank, however, the treatments and the staff are really good. On NYE our noisy neighbours carried on partying and slamming doors till 04:30 despite our calls to the front desk. We asked numerous times to speak with the Duty Manager or the owner but they are yet to make themselves available. A 10% gratuity is automatically added to all services on this property, when we chatted to numerous staff they told us that they do not receive the tips they are kept by management. So my recommendation is that should you wish to tip staff do so in cash. It seems however you will still pay 10% service charge. My recommendation is do some research. Your money could be spent far better elsewhere. This property is by no means 5 stars! If you come from a big city and that is your expectation you'll be very disappointed. I could carry on but you get the point 5/10 at best from us. Pity the property has a lot of potential if it just get the right help and management.

I suppose it could be said that the location is not perfect for a visit to Durban ( a little bit too far out ) but the view is nice and the accommodation is first class.
The restaurant is beautifully situated in many ways but there are a lot of steps to get to it - so less than perfect if you are not fit or are carrying an injury.
The standard of food is in my opinion one step away from being where it should be , but it is very good.

Our room was due to be ready for checkin at 2pm. We had no towels in the room and it was not properly cleaned. The blind in the bathroom was hanging on by a thread while trying to conceal the mold behind it. The ceiling in the bathroom was covered in mold and an evening and morning shower was in warm water (no hot water). I was extremely disappointed as the website photos made the venue look really beautiful.

My 4th visit and I love this hotel. Has everything one could ask for and if you enjoy the gym and spa like me, its really all inclusive. This is how I've always enjoyed it but unfortunately there has been some deterioration in 6months. It's small things like poor maintenance, damp and housekeeping which can build-up to a bigger problem if not addressed. On a very positive note, I've given this feedback to the staff and management and to their credit they have acknowledged and committed to addressing it. This alone is enough to make me return immediately.

We were given a friendly welcome. The room was clean and neat; however, there was an overpowering smell of stale cigarette smoke. Nowhere was there an information brochure with regard to the hotel. The small kitchenette was fair however there was only one fork. Only one gown was provided. The bathroom had no vanity top on which to place toiletries.
Not sure which institution awarded it 5 stars as it certainly was not 5 star quality.
