Ikhamanzi is a MUST for those who land at Oliver Tambo and embark on a trip! Relax, enjoy while sorting final minor details, before you leave... which you don´t want to do because stayinig at Ikhamanzi is already a highlight, due to great hospitaliy, professional care and warmhearted special attention! Almut and Derick are of the best hosts we have ever met! Don´t forget to plan at least one more night at Ikhamanzi before leaving SA!

The owner go out of their way to help you. the best place to relax and enjoy the country . nice lapa to braai or just relax next to the fire.

My family and I needed a break from the hustle and bustle of daily life and decided on a short break away from home. Every year it’s the same stressed-out-at-home or expensive and even more stressed out trip to the sea but this year we booked the weekend at ikhamanzi Bed and Breakfast. We did not expect much as it is so close to home (Alberton) but agreed that we will do it purely for relaxation sake and a change of scenery. Wow, were we surprised. We found out very pleasantly that we did not have to spend a fortune hundreds of kilometers away to have fun and relax.
We were given a very warm welcome by Almut, out hostess who paid attention to every guest every moment of the day. The accomodation was homely and the atmosphere scenic and serene.
We developed a bond with Kira (the golden retriever) and the children and felt so at home that our departure was emotional.
We will definitely book ikhamanzi again when we need a short break.

This was our first stop after a very long flight from Australia in Dec 2013. It is just the right distance away from the crazy city to relax and chill out. Almut is a brilliant host and runs a very comfortable B&B with meticulous attention to detail – and the food is excellent. It was such a pleasure to have this great service; a great start to our seven week tour of South Africa. Thanks.

We stayed there July 2013. It was a the BEST B & B I have ever stayed at. You really feel taken care of by the staff. The food was authentic Afrikans. Our two bed w a loft room was ten out of ten. Modern clean and toasty warm. Almut is sooo attentive to your needs. You get an experience of really getting away with peace and quiet. You can drive to Kruger and Almut took the time to give us a tour. I finished a few books while staying there. I will definatly stay here again. I was sad to leave this Utopia.

We stayed here for 2 nights and this was one of the best B&Bs i have stayed at in ages.

Almut is a great host who has paid special attention to detail and no luxury is spared here...from heater in the bathroom, electric blankets, chocolate on the pillows etc.

I am most definately going to return to Ikhamanzi and know that when I do return...i will feel like i have gone to a home away from home.

This place is awesome..breakaway from busy city life and recharge your batteries. Myself, my wife and daughter were treated like royalties. The owner went out of her way to accommodate us. Words are not enough to express my appreciation for the treatment. The breakfast was also awesome.i will be back again at this place

This is the only place we will stay if we are in this region. Very impressed with the lovely room. The previous time we stayed in one of the tents. Both were a great experience. Almut prepares a lovely breakfast and together with her friendly personality it adds to a perfect stay. Thank you so much!!
