Thank you for a lovely stay. The room was immaculate and had everything I needed. Ruth was a wonderful host and made me feel very welcome. Breakfast the next morning was delicious and I had a variety to choose from. Will definitely book again.

One of the best B&B in Sandton area. Both the owners are very kind and sweet. It felt like spending a night at your uncle or aunt. From the books at your bedside table to the breakfast next morning, it felt like home.

I had a great stay at Sandton Slippers for 2 nights on my trip to Joburg from Harare. Ruth and Alistair were such warm and welcoming hosts, and their staff as well. It was a central location and also safe and quiet. Breakfast was phenomenal!

Ruth and her family are the best hosts you can imagine. We had to stay there almost for a month and they made feel us like at home.
Comfortable, charm and clean rooms. Delicious breakfast, beautiful garden, excellent location in a safe area.
And lots of beautiful birds!!!
We definitely will be back!

Accommodation was fantastic, The host Ruth a really an amazing person , enjoyed our in-depth conversations regarding various topics of life.
I was in a difficult situation, everything that could go wrong did go wrong , but Ruth stepped in and resolved the situation , it was and still is really heart warming, I thank her from the bottom of my heart
It is truly a home away from home , definitely will be revisiting,

+1
I booked the self catering for 3 nights. The rooms were clean, lots of plugs and excellent WiFi. Comfortable bed and good quality linen. I was looking for a place to stay for regular visits to Jhb. I prefer guest houses with garden and where I can relax in a pretty setting. I felt too boxed in and confined to my room as there wasn't a cosy lounge area and I love space and a need to feel nature. So for me it was a bit on the claustrophobic side. Breakfasts are good. The location is very convenient. Some reviewers have said they had a "homey" feel but I didn't get this, maybe it has to do with the lack of a garden.

Thank you for the great review, it's much appreciated. I'm so glad we ticked most of the boxes to your satisfaction. We don't show pictures or advertise that we have a garden setting for the self-catering unit so it is a shame you didn't pick that up on the website prior to making your booking. The little raised gardens outside of the Std rooms are so pretty especially this time of the year and the seating outside each room is very comfortable, that might have been a better choice for you actually but unfortunately you didn't mention that on check-in when showing you around. The patio outside of the dining room is also for all the guests' convenience and has lovely shady trees, a bird table, water feature and gazebo.

I stayed here for 2 nights before heading to Cape Town. This is a lovely guest house in a quite neighbourhood in Sandton. I got room #5, it was a very spacious with a small fridge and microwave.
The place was spottless, very clean!!! I was traveling solo and found it very secure too.
Dina, the host, was excellent. She welcomed me and ensured that everything I needed was available for me. She served breakfast in a lovely area and for Sunday they prepared a box with my breakfast since I was leaving very early to Pilanesberg and they didn't open the breakfast area for the day.
I would for sure stay here if I am in Johannesburg again.

Thank you for your super review, we wish you could have stayed longer, next time maybe ....... Often we have tourists that leave at the crack of dawn for day tours and we don't like them to go hungry so the picnic box is useful, we are glad you enjoyed yours. Take care. Regards Dina & Andre

Sandton Slippers is new and very clean.
Dina, the hostess is friendly, hospitable and extremely helpful, particularly if you are a stranger to the city of Jhb. or indeed the country as we were.
It is very close to the wonder of Sandton City, the biggest under cover shopping centre we had ever seen.
We had the executive suite which wa spacious and comfortably furnished.
My wife did her normal inspection of linen, bathroom etc.
the resultant comment was: spotless, very happy to stay for a week.
The Full English was outstaning.

I have been staying over at Sandton Slippers since 2010 and have always had a memorable stay. The establishment is well situated within close range of Lanseria and Oliver Tambo.
The rooms are more than comfortable, spotlessly clean with free WiFi and the English Breakfast is a must with cereals, fruit and fruit juice as well for the health conscious.
I would recommend anyone to this venue for short or long-term stays. Well done Dina and Andre, keep up the good work and I hope to see you soon.

Its always a pleasure to have you stay with us and we're so glad that what we offer stays fresh and the standard doesn't change from year to year. Every now and then we add a little something to enhance the guests experience, currently we're growing our own tomatoes for breakfast as well as our own garnishes! by October this year we're hoping to harvest our own paws paws and strawberries which we're excited about. Then next year we should be "off the grid" now that is exciting news ! Take care and see you soon. Andre and Dina.
