Detailed Reviews
We stayed a week with Ruth and Alistair - and they were wonderfully accommodating and friendly! They were always ready to help give directions to places and suggest things to do. If we had any questions they were quick to respond and help out.
The rooms were spacious, very comfortable and very clean. The location was ideal for us and we felt very safe throughout our stay We had a walk around the neighbourhood park and enjoyed staying in the area. Also the breakfasts were great and tasty!
We would stay here again as everything was so easy and pleasant - from arranging the booking, getting directions, communicating - the stay was wonderful.

I think the hosts get ALL the points for this one! Ruth and Alistair have created such a thoughtful, intuitive BnB experience which makes one feel as if they are home while away from home. Everything here was so carefully selected and curated to make the guest feel comfortable, welcome and just at home. Beautiful rooms with modern finishes and full of warmth. Ruth's personal touch from the first moment of contact to the last moment of your stay is evidence of such a thoughtful and generous host. I honestly just enjoyed being here for a moment and felt at peace. And yes, the breakfast is all the crazy amazingness that everyone describes it to be :D. Had to try it for myself; it was laid out like a meal fit for a Queen and when I took the first bite I was like, oh, I get it! Beautiful cherry on top :)

After a long flight we appreciated the comfort of a spacious queen size bed in a light and airy room. Ruth and her family made us feel very welcome and the attention to detail is spot on. We were served a delicious breakfast and given assistance with booking a taxi the next morning. They really do go the extra mile but also respect your privacy. Do book - you won't be disappointed !

Ruth was just so welcoming, it felt as though I am home away from home. The whole family and stuff were very kind, I loved the breakfast especially the eggs that Ruth made for me(I forgot to ask for a recipe). The room was very neat and comfortable, I always overslept 😅and had my breakfast a little later but I’d find it warm and ready.
I am definitely going back😀

Perfect option for business travellers needing to be close to Randburg & Sandton area. Establishment has solar panels installed so not affected by load shedding. Breakfast served to your liking. Warm hospitality from the hosts!

The room was cozy and of a good standard for the price. The neighborhood felt safe, especially as a woman traveling alone. The host Ruth was lovely and warm. She checked in with me prior to check-in to provide me directions etc. The breakfast was also top notch!

Sandton Slippers is a very well-located guest house, just next to St Stithians College campus.
Ruth and Alistair are wonderful hosts, very welcoming, and always available. They prepared every day an excellent breakfast. The room has everything you need: a comfortable bed, desk, fridge, wifi, and TV.
I recommend 100%.

Dear Ruth, thank you for the super stay we had at your place. Very comfy bed and lovely linen. I loved having the fresh milk in the fridge. Perfect to enjoy the early morning cup of tea.
The proximity to St Stithians College and Sandton City is perfect
We will definitely be back.

What a treat this stay was, the hosts, situation and not least of all the birds in the garden as you eat your breakfast. The venue and its surrounds are peaceful and pretty. Only a short walk to St Stithians where my conference was being held and a quick Uber to other points of interest for a visitor. I felt relaxed, welcome and even a little rested after my stay at this special spot.
