I am amazed at how accommodating this hotel is, the decor is sentimental and stunning … they just know how to treat guests such as myself with absolute respect. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Even the housekeeping lady who cleaned was warm… this hotel really made me feel welcome to be back in sunny South Africa and ignite a spark back in my African heart. I have also learnt that South Africans are amazing people who are so proud of their country and the availability of luxury hotels such as this one. I highly recommend this establishment when visiting Sandton, the view from the room window is also breathtaking. So next time you are visiting good old Jozi, remember to pay Da Vinci hotel a visit and expect a super welcoming and wonderful time here.

Hotel is in a great location for seeing Johannesburg. The hotel was very clean, staff were very professional and friendly. Breakfast was included in our room rate; it was the best breakfast buffet/al a carte breakfast I have had and I've stayed in a lot of high-end hotels.

After a wonderful three weeks of safariing in African, we finished up in Johannesburg before heading home. We stayed at the Davinci Hotel for 2 nights and it was an excellent stay. The hotel has luxurious room and a friendly staff, and we also availed ourselves of the spa for a 90 minute couples massage (excellent!). The location is great - connected to both Nelson Mandela Square which has lots of good restaurants, and to Sandton City Mall, with plenty of shops if you are in the shopping mood. There is even a shuttle that takes you to one of the Hop Off and Hop On red buses if you want to do a tour of the city. We took the tour and it was a good introduction to Johannesburg, but we wished we had down the Soweto extension. All in all, a very good stay!

Over rated hotel - we found the kitchen dirty and stinking, of which the duty manager did take pictures, n ended it there, and this was a regular routine of having to remind housekeeping to empty bins and change linen ! there was no iron in the room and upon requesting for one it took them 1 1/2 hours to bring it across even that after several phone calls and complaining to the duty manager too. It got me late for our lunch meeting and there was not even an apology from the duty manager!Even when I asked for a minute of her valuable time to let her know of my situation she was rude to remark she’s ‘too tied up but it’s ok I’ll have to listen to you’!! Being a Sunday night we were out till midnight and the concierge guard at the reception would not let my daughter and myself enter the hotel as my husband was talking to the other guard at the lift door bcoz he assumed we were not safe enough !! Whoever ranked this hotel as 5 ⭐️ really needs to review the place again.. there no point of staying at this hotel, paying out of your nose for pathetic and filthy hospitality

I stayed for 7 nights and there was not a single day that I did not have to call housekeeping or be passed to some other dept about missing amenities, towels, etc or laundry not returned. Very poorly trained service levels and responses. Also was asked to pay for additional drinking water or told I have to go buy it at the grocery store (on a business trip!!) and worst of all was asked to pay for additional milk pods for tea & coffee in the room, The only give 2 pods! Laundry not returned till I go to reception to pay for it even though I left deposit on credit card upon check in. Al very duisorganised.

The necessary corrective action will be taken with the parties involved. With regards to the amenities, we place a standard of 2 x 500ml bottled water in the room that is replaced on turndown every evening. Any additional waters can be purchased from the Room Service department. I can also confirm that we placed a 250ml fresh milk in your room on the day of arrival which was replaced when it was finished. That being said, our Executive Housekeeper will investigate further as offering guests a wonderful experience of is utmost importance to us. Thank you again for your feedback. The Davinci hotel and suites is in a amazing location, very convenient and safe. Being attached to the shopping mall, we were able to walk around to the Sandton city mall without taking a cab or going out. Also had easy access to the numerous restaurants, shops and to visit Nelson Mandela square . It was a great luxury to be right at the Sandton city mall, which I believe is the largest mall in Johannesburg.
The Room/suites are well appointed, clean, comfortable beds and quite complimented by excellent service. Breakfast is served at the restaurant below with a large selection and beautiful ambiance. The food and drinks were excellent and the service was second to none.
The hotel concierge is very resourceful and friendly from arranging tours to provide assistance for any request in Johannesburg. What I really liked about this hotel is the interior Décor. All the interior in only Black and white, but every floor and everyone area is different and unique. This is definitely a designer’s delight.
We stayed in a suite and felt truly spoilt, good choice of food, security and comfort, a lovely experience. We also truly appreciate the complimentary wine and the invitation by the manager since it was three weeks stay for one of us. Highly recommend this hotel. We enjoyed our stay in one of the DaVinci suites. If I have chance to visit Joburg will come again.

This hotel in Stanton was very nice in an excellent neighborhood . It is connected directly to Nelson Mandela square which has many very fine quality restaurants and shops . The Hotel staff was very attentive, always very very helpful. Billy at the. Concierge desk set us up on an excellent day tour, Abram our porter was very helpful and concerned for our comfort , and Fani our Waiter at the very nice (inclusive) Breakfast in Maximilians Restaurant was very attentive and service orient , concerned with our enjoyment . The hotel room itself clean, comfortable & well appointed , though with an unusual “open” layout where the Bathroom was open to to the entire room/bedroom with only tinted doors for the shower and toilet . The lighting in the bathroom this was very minimal and insufficient. Still a very nice room in a nice hotel with excellent staff. I would reccomend for a quick visit .

This hotel is beyond wonderful. The hotel arranged our pickup at OT Tambo and a very professional young man was waiting for us as we exited; he handed us off to a wonderful driver. We checked in after 2100hrs on our first day, left out for a day safari at 0615 the following morning (safari all arranged by Mr. Chet), returned in the evening, spent less than an hour having a quick bite and cocktail in the bar before going to sleep. The following morning, while sitting in the lobby, the Senior Concierge, Mr. Billy Chet approached us and greeted us by name. We had never met him before but he learned/knew who we are. That, friends, is exceptional service and customer focus. Exceptional. Our room is lovely, well-appointed and very clean. (I’m a clean-freak/germaphobe so if a place meets my impossibly neurotic standards, it’s above and beyond.) Spent much of my 2nd day recovering from jet lag and exhaustion at the Davinci spa. Portia gave me possibly the best facial I’ve ever had and I’ve been getting facials for 45 years. I came in dry and wrinkly and left looking 10 years younger. Can say enough about Portia and N’Tombi at the Davinci Spa. The spa itself is immaculate and every service you could want plus champagne. Just a great way to recover from any residual jet lag. Desk staff and restaurant staff are graciously accommodating. From the moment you walk through the doors the entire experience is 110%. As importantly, I was told by a staff member that during the time the hotel was closed for Covid, staff were paid a portion of their wages. We will always prefer and patronize businesses that show loyalty to their staff. Strong work all around.

We stayed at da Vinci home for two nights on our way to cape town. The location was great, being inside the shopping centre meant we were able to walk around and go to restaurants etc. a visit to the Nelson Mandela square was a highlight. Rooms clean and nice, beds comfy and room quiet. Breakfast was also great!

On a scale of 1-5 with 1 being the least it would have to be a resounding 1. I can see how when this hotel launched it cools have perhaps been 5* - but that has long gone. The hotel is tired and and requires a revamp. The rooms are really on need of a make over. Dirty headboards, torn curtains, lampshades that have seen better days. At this price per night this hotel should be mortified to be accommodating guests in such lackluster rooms.

It is very possible. Remember that many others may also be checking out early to catch the very flight you disembarked from. It is worth trying. The wait, if at all, will not be long.
Smart casual is the dress code.
They are generally fairly relaxed, in the morning's I walk to and from the gym in training gear (across the reception area) and sometimes if I'm running late I head to breakfast in my training gear.
If you get into the hotel earlier than "check in" the gym is well equipped to allow you to shower, freshen up and change.

Station is only a couple of hundred metres away. Safe to walk but hotel will drive you (both ways) gratis if you have luggage ++
