Don't stay here. No air con. They will try to convince you it's an unusual occurrence but all 7 rooms our group stayed in didn't have working air con. Front desk doesn't answer the phone and were rude in person. Food was mediocre at best. Again, very hot with no air con, don't waste your money.

The aircon didn’t work and my room felt like a sauna box. I struggled to sleep through the night. If you like the heat, then you shouldn’t have any problems. According to certain staff, the hotel is well aware that the AIRCON’s in certain rooms don’t work. In all fairness, the receptionist should inform its guest of aircon issues when checking in or making a booking.

Centrally located hotel in Sandton near all major amenities and shopping centres. Comfortable room with good value for money. Staff is courteous but the Eclipse restaurant is under-staffed and struggle to serve guests even though it’s only at about 60% capacity. It takes time to get your order and tables are not cleared

Room Tip: Parking bays are in the basement and is tricky with a poor layout

My mum and I booked over the weekend to get away the experience we had at the hotel was absolutely ridiculous, when we got there at first I open the bathroom tap and sand was coming out into the bath we had called for maintenance as the sand was coming out continuously, the maintenance then requested to change rooms the first night as it didn't stop, the next room we stayed in didn't have clean bedding at all when I opened the bed to rest as we had a busy day there was hair found all over the bedding, if I had to describe is looked like males hair all over the bedding which was not washed properly a while ago, after this I could longer handle it my mum and I decided to leave the manager pleaded with us and said that he'd change the rooms for us again we had asked for refund as we no longer wanted to stay, the manager then said he can't do that as it was at a a very late hour and that he would change our rooms , he then shifted us to A class however it was still terrible as we couldn't the bathroom it wasn't renovated properly as the taps were leaking as well . This was just my experience! Thanks

I attended an AGM at Sandton Sun today and feel it really deserves a great review. From the friendly, attentive security staff, to conference staff to the restaurant staff - only good things could be said. The Conference venue itself could not be faulted, sound system was great, temperature perfect. There was a wide selection of morning eats which looked and tasted delicious. Luncheon was marvellous - I had a seafood starter with shrimp, big prawn and avocado and a really delicious sauce. Main course was the grilled salmon which was the best prepared salmon I have ever had. There was also a lovely vibe in the hotel and conference area - wherever one went. Classy but very friendly and welcoming.

Upon arrival Mr Amos, the gentleman at the gate was so friendly to us and we felt our presence was acknowledged which was great. Thank you bra Amos. The reception ladies were all smiles and what stood out was how they managed attending to each guest one by one without it being messy or having the awaiting guests waiting to check in feeling irritable. I am mentioning this because I came with a group of my colleagues and we were all attended to quite well. I loved the room but it could do with more flatter pillows, but none the less I couldn't fault it, I was happy to see an iron and iron board came with the room set up. My favourite part was the Dinning area. Great staff indeed. A gentleman by the name of Mpumi in particular was always making sure we were comfortable at all costs and very friendly to everyone who signals for his assistance at the restaurant from my observation. Above all. It was a pleasant stay and looking forward to visiting again. PS: Thank you to all staff for wearing name tags ;)

One of the worst "high end" hotels I ever stayed in. Shelving in cupboard falling down, breakfast not ready on time, rooms needs refreshing, staff - especially restaurant - needs serious customer focus training. Coffee and tea not replenished daily. Overall not a good place to stay.

I’m a lover of burgers yesterday I opted to spend the afternoon with a friend since it was woman’s day she dragged me to to this beautiful hotel with an amazing burger mind you I ate half and took half home yeah that’s the serving portion. Had the kind service of Lubabalo the barman constantly refilling my beverage at a nice cold temperature suggested this burger really went over and beyond his call of duty we had an awesome afternoon to evening our we have found a new place to unwind after a long day.

We stayed there with family and with a group during the month of August. The bad: -There seems to be no porter service as nobody brought our luggage upstairs and we had to go fetch them ourselves, carry them all the way upstairs through the elevator. The answer was we had to identify our luggage first. But after identification by ourselves, nobody assisted us. The staffs did see us dragging with difficult the luggage but with nobody to help or to advise on this -However, we were supposed to get the lunch with the group. It took a very long time to setup the table and get the food. -the majority of the staffs are not focused/smiling. The rest of the restaurant staffs were not that communicative or very proactively helpful. The good: -The hotel is ideally situated in joburg, especially if you want to be near the area of Sandton mall. -The hotel seems fairly upgraded, especially the reception. -The restaurant as well seems quite upscale. -some staffs are courteous There is one older lady in the morning in the kitchen service who was very courteous and helpful. Sonia is very helpful indeed The next morning the staffs were different and slightly more courteous and there was more porters. The room was relatively well kept and clean although it might need some further touch up on maintenance if you are picky The room is an average size with lots of lights, desk and tv The bed was ok but the pillow need further improvement Overall An ok hotel to stay if you are prepared to look beyond the service quality but location/proximity is your priority
