We stayed at Bryan Manor for more than week in May 2022. We checked into a guest house and check out of a home. Our experience was magical with amazing breakfasts to start the day, great care and facilities in our rooms and best of all the passion and care of Sally and Tania. We felt at peace at this place. It’s like no other guest house we ever stayed at. Gratitude to all the staff and special thanks to Tania and Sally. 🙏🙏🙏

A home away from home. Fantastic property with Chares and Karen the quintessential "innkeepers". We were greeted by Charles like long lost friends and made to feel at home on our arrival. Room and breakfast were excellent and the staff went out of their way to help during our stay

Spent four days and the place feels like home away from home with excellent hosting by Charles from the moment we walked in until the last day. Beautiful well kept garden and lawn, great conversations on the patio with strangers that became friends. Awesome place!

The breakfast omelette is superb and a must! Charles always goes out of his way to make you feel at home and to make sure you have everything you need. Will definitely recommend!

Excellent place, with a vintage look and feel. The rooms are extremely spacious, much bigger than the standard rooms at the hotels. Lovely greenery around the guest house, with a nice pool to take a dip. Loved the concept of honesty bar register, you pick what you want from the fridge and add your name and room number and settle it later. The owner Charles is such an amazing person, he takes you around the place, you can have intellectual conversations with him and he is a wonderful human being and a thorough gentleman. I would certainly recommend this place to all, including family and leisure holidays

Johannesburg is my hometown, and those (too many of us) who return to visit, know the drill only too well - it is never an easy trip. I’ve been back and forth for 20 odd years now, yet Jozi gets me every time; tugging on the old heart-strings and tearing me in two - one minute excited to be back, the next grateful to have left. This was a post Covid Lock-Down visit - the first in two years - so every typically tricky thing was doubly so. I needed to find us a particular place to stay. Considering my options I decided we needed 3 Non-Negotiable: Proximity, Security and Comfort. Not as easy as it sounds. Someone suggested I look at Bryan Manor Guest House. It certainly ticked the Big 3 so I enquired. Thankfully they had rooms available - big, super comfortable, safe, warm, fresh and airy - the kind of rooms which force the cliche, ‘home away from home’ - you know - because it’s what we all want and rarely find. They also offer delicious breakfasts and a pool in a beautiful garden. Yes, we got exactly what we expected. Top notch! But that’s not the thing about this guest house. What makes this place special is the unexpected - the warm, generous, accommodating, fun-loving, caring spirit of the man who welcomes you in. Charles Polson and his team are golden perfect, and Bryan Manor is everything you expect… plus everything you didn’t know you needed.

My partner and I have stayed at Bryan Manor a few times and refuse to stay anywhere else in JHB. The staff and management team are kind, attentive and no want/need goes unattended. Rooms are big and spotlessly clean. Breakfasts by Chriss (the chef) are scrumptious (especially the omelettes) and enjoying coffee and the breakfast spread really make the start to the day enjoyable. The location is prime and central, and the property is safe. I enjoy spending time in the house during my stay which is most unusual for me when staying in a guest house. The vibe from the team in the house is warm and welcoming and I love my stays at Bryan Manor. Thank you team for the personalised hospitality.

A truly magnificent experience from the moment you arrive. Charles and his wife Karen have perfected the ‘home away from home’ accommodation experience, making it feel as comfortable as if you are in your own home (but better!) The entire property is in immaculate condition, the rooms are the BEST, comfy and cleanest I have ever stayed in! Highly recommended!!!!!!!!!! Thanks so much Charles and Karen-will definitely be back soon!

Bryan Manor is without doubt the best guest house in Jozi, maybe even the world! Charles and his team are exceptional hosts and the accommodation set up is perfect. This truly is a home away from home! Could not recommend highly enough.
