We stayed for the whole weekend (Friday and Saturday night). I was a little surprised when I finally looked it up and realised how close they were and that they weren't more in the country. But we still really enjoyed our stay spending time in teh gardens near the bar. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was excellent, I had the Crispy Korean Chicken Friday night and was SOO tempted to have it again on Saturday night, that was how great it was. I thought the prices were good for the meals and drinks. Only issue was Sunday morning 7h30 someone started up a weedeater and was making a noise on the property, and that is WAY too early. Also they have a church that host their Sunday services on the property, so good luck if you want to sleep in :) But we would go again, but probably stay Friday night only, and then send the rest of the day on Saturday in the beautiful gardens and book for Supper. Also we didn't get to use the SPA as our booking was a little late and they were already booked, their spa is also closed on Sunday.

Our overnight at Black Eagle was absolutely amazing. The friendliest staff and top notch service levels. Loved the gardens and the feel of the place. You forget that you are in the middle of a suburban area. The food was also excellent. Absolutely n line with what you would expect from a Guvon Location 👌🏻

Nice garden, pool, peacocks. Large room, quiet are. Good service. Breakfast is made order, generous. Good place if your business interest are in that part of Jozy. There maybe some noise from the main road, but not during the night. Wine list could be a bit better/less basis.

I really thoroughly enjoyed my stay! From the friendly face of Thuli checking me in and showing me the room, to guy at Reception helping me out with a charger, the smiles all round from staff members Lebo, Nondie & Rea. Breakfast was of standard and really liked the little dome shaped scrambled eggs, compliments to the Chef. I also liked the location because as I'm always on the go back in Cape Town, and travelling solo for the 1st time i think i needed the peace & quiet. The WiFi connectivity was strong and fast. Overall my stay at Black Eagle Boutique Hotel was FANTASTIC! I will highly recommend to my fellow hoteliers.

Great venue with awesome garden, the outdoor table setting was a really nice touch. Our waiter, Stix, was really attentive and assisted us with Umbrella to shade us from the sun. The lunch was buffet style, average to say the least. Food was not replenished on time, and guests were left waiting. By the time we got to our table the food had already cooled down. Definitely room for improvement on the food.

The dessert was not served to all as the desserts had run out. The manager, did make a plan though, and out of the 4 desserts served, he managed to serve up a chocolate mousse and some Christmas pudding. Our dessert was served at our table, by the manager. Nice save, thank you for attending to the problem, so swiftly.

Phumie and Melanie were very professional and attentive.
The food was excellent the evening of the function, however breakfast was terrible.
On arrival, no towels in the bedrooms that were booked.
There were not enough waiters to take drink orders at the function.
Regarding the quotation for the accommodation (we took most of the rooms) that we were quoted at our first meeting, changed at the last meeting and we had to pay quite a bit more! Very embarrassing as we had to let the guests / overseas visitors know at the last minute that they would be paying more!

Dear Stephanie B Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback and suggestions from your event which took place earlier this year. At Black Eagle we strive to provide unsurpassed service and professionalism; and our coordinator team will be delighted with your kind words. I will ensure that your valuable feedback is taken forward in order for us to further improve our offering to our customers. I took the liberty of investigating the accommodation matter you mentioned above; in which I discovered no alteration took place from the original discounted quotation. However, there were confounding factors at play regarding the price of single versus double occupancy among the party’s organizers. This matter was discussed and clarified personally by our director with the organizing party prior to the event. Thank you once again for your review and valuable suggestions. It enables us, at Black Eagle, to further improve our services and offerings. Wishing you a lovely day further. Kind regards, Sasha Fullerton

We were pleasantly surprised at this " little " guesthouse and conference venue , it is in the heart of Roodepoort but once you are through the gates it is quite the oasis. Lots of rolling lawns , lovely gardens and water features, beautifully maintained thatch and overall a great ambience.
I would rate it as better than a 3 star , and the presidential suite is very special ,we had a quick peak at it.
My only gripe is breakfast , they offer toast only , no muffins or any other breakfast pastries and only jam and butter , no savoury spreads not even marmite.
Joe did a good job serving such a large group ( we went for a 21st) and the food was very nice , comfortable rooms , nice linens and bathroom toiletries , good value for money.
