We are an older couple from the Uk we had come to visit our son and Daughter in-law And this was our first ever stay in Africa We Absolutely Loved it Amazing place 💕at this family run hotel . Can’t express how lovely it is . It is very rustic and beautiful 😍 lovely reception and dining areas inside and on an open terrace . We stayed in an executive room and it was stunning 🤩 everything you need including a fridge . The bathroom was gorgeous with roll top bath and a large shower . Lovely standard of bedding and fluffy white towels extremely clean . Water pressure excellent. Private terrace eye level with the tops of the trees so could see the different birds and lovely stepped gardens . A great little pool to cool down in . But most of all the staff are lovely. From the receptionist to the waiters the chef to the to the manager who is part of the family Ewan ( sorry don’t think that’s how you spell your name ) He made us feel so special he was an Exceptional Host . Chef mesch ? (Sorry again about the spelling ) she made breakfast to order which was delicious and big portions . We dined one evening and had the steak which was cooked to perfection with the best red wine jus I have ever tasted. Our waiters Prince and Mcloud couldn’t do enough for us as also the other staff we met . We would 100% recommend this Hotel . We would go back in a heartbeat 💓

Quiet surroundings, spacious rooms with beautiful bath, beautiful gardens and pool. Any guest concerns or room snags were efficiently sorted out by staff and management is hands-on. Breakfast was lovely and dinner was excellent! We will be back!

We had a great relaxing 2 night stay at this hotel.

Our room was very large and extremely well equipped and had a private balcony

Johan the manager is a great host and we felt well come throughout our stay.

The fixed menu dinner was great on both evenings.

Although the hotel is most likely more suited for groups and business, we had a very relaxing time as we were the only guests.

We had a lovely hike at the nearby botanical gardens

The location is beautiful, tranquil and clean. Pictures don't do the hotel justice, it's more beautiful in person. The beds are comfortable. The pool area was clean and picturesque. The staff goes the extra mile to make guests comfortable. The breakfast is nice.

The only downside for me was the dinner. We opted to eat dinner at the hotel restaurant. We were expecting to be handed a menu to select what we want to eat, instead they chose for us to eat chicken and potatoes. The dinner was nothing to write home about and not worth it's price. I would suggest for guests to go out for dinner at an outside restaurant and come back to sleep here.

generally i had a very good stay and Douw and the team were very helpful and friendly. the onyl two points for imrpovement would be to put tea and coffee stations in the rooms- it's inconvenient early in the morning and late at night to go downstairs to make a cuppa. one other small thing is that the generator is quite loud from room 12, and fumes from the generator actually come into the room... it did disturb my sleep one night.

We spent a quiet weekend away at Afrique Boutique Hotel and it ticked all the boxes. Beautiful place with a stunning view from our balcony. The room was cozy with the most comfortable bed and the bathroom facilities beautiful.

All the staff were so incredibly friendly and helpful and I can recommend this gem for anybody looking for a relaxing and quiet break away. The service is impeccable.

Lovely to be back to Afrique Boutique for a short 2 night stay. Oasis in the West Rand area of Johannesburg. Always warm and welcoming, log fires and comfortable lounge for the evening and then quiet and secluded in the day. Great food and facilities. Feels like a safe and very comfortable place to stay which is why we keep coming back!
