This is my 2nd stayover for business purposes. My last stay was in the main house using a shared bathroom. I arrived at 8:30 pm, but Dot was there to greet me and she kindly allowed me to help myself to some cereal and snacks - The Mr Delivery was going to take over an hour and a half to deliver take-aways and I was exhausted from the early bird flight and could not face a meal at 10 pm. This time round I was accommodated in one of the garden cottages which was a lovely en-suite it but the shower could do with an upgrade as the water stuttered out of the shower. Otherwise it was a lovely clean apartment. The garden area is lovely but the pool was looking very murky. The breakfast sun room had several ants crawling over the table. Breakfast could definitely improve - the fruit was deliciously fresh. But the hot breakfast must be improved. My scrambled eggs were rubbery and salty and the toast was a bit burnt. I would stay at the Apartments again on business travel due to close proximity to our office.

Room Tip: The garden cottages are lovely and private. The shower is not the greatest.

Perfect place to relax. Quiet. Close to everything. Beautiful. Value for money. Very friendly. Impeccably clean. Warm and cosy. Uninvasive. Will definitely be staying again when in jhb, whether for business or private.

Greeted by Dot & Lynne, the apartments offers comfortable garden cottages ranging from small to huge. Situated in Rivonia's residential area, its a far walk to the nearest petrol station or restaurant so a car is necessary. Besides the power tripping every now and then from all the heaters, a very nice place to stay with friendly staff and a beautiful sun room to enjoy the winter morning sunshine for breakfast. The rooms are equipped with panel wall heaters and an additional heater - no electric blankets but there are fluffy ones in the closet if needed. A small tv with most of the dstv movie and sports channels, a fridge and kettle with sugar, coffee & tea pots for that late night cuppa are available in all the rooms. Breakfast is a bit limiting in terms of choice - fruit salad, cereal & bacon & eggs is pretty much the order of the day for breakfast.
