Thanks to an amazingly talented bride and her strong group of family and friends the wedding was a 💯 percent success 😎🍾🍾🍾
The venue is beautiful set in an amazing valley of eye candy .
Here's the hot tip warning ⚠️ brides to be .
The people who run this venue are clueless. They are rude, slow and not capable of providing service .
Due to their lack of competence to provide service with a smile you are treated criminally . You need a R200 deposit to qualify for a room key in case you run off with their room furnishings that may fit into the set of the Village People circa 1979 ! This is a hassle for most as you now have to use your cash bar money , tip money etc ...as for the bar service , it's so slow and canteen like , come on people you may be out in the stix but get dynamic . Their idea of a cocktail is a gin and tonic at snails 🐌 pace !
Under close supervision the wedding food itself , pretty average . Service slow .
Breakfast the next morning, maybe it services a serious hangover but no effort here . There's ironically no love ❤️😱from the operators . It's a very backward basic mentality. Don't expect a greeting from staff in or out !

On Friday we went to my niece's wedding and when I found out how much they paid for wedding venue I was shocked and everything was below Average. The Chapel experience was set out very romantically but the the Priest needed support with lightning, the fans that kept blowing out the candles needed for nuptial rituals and the owner kept running backwards and forwards to attend to other parts of the place.
At the Reception, the service was not up to standard. My wine glass had someone else's lipstick on it. The bar was generally expensive in my opinion. R35 per a Soda water?
The owner was not always courteous, the food was below average and you are not allowed to dish up your self. They limit the servings. (This did not go down well with my muscle bulging son who is a Professional trainer)
The wedding turned our well despite all of these mishaps, but they shooed everyone out at midnight and refused even with the promise of extra money to keep open longer.
The party continued in one of the Best men's room.
Breakfast the next morning was abysmal! The eggs were pre cooked, cold and overcooked, you were not allowed to dish up any more than the allocated serving and were told "you can come back when everyone else has been served". The Milk was powdered mixed with water. The orange juice was a cordial (too sweet and not fresh).
The lady at the door did not tell us that we were supposed to hand in the room keys at the breakfast room, so we drove all the up to Reception only to be told that we must go back and hand them in to the rude lady at the restaurant.
The rooms were certainly NOT worth R800 per night.

This evening we had a year-end function and awards evening for our hockey club at this venue. It was on the same day as the semi-final world cup rugby match between South Africa and New Zealand. A big screen was arranged so that everyone could watch the match before the formal evening began. Extra business prior to the function and people going into a function already tipsy, hence bigger bar bill...the soft drinks from the bar were warm and other choices were very limited. Catering was poorly planned and bland, everything tasted the same, with small portions (a spoon full of chocolate mouse was offered for desert). The facilities were suitable for the amount of people but the team seemed to lack experience in catering for larger groups. Ample parking and pleasant surroundings.

We had our wedding here.
The owner is not very helpful and does not communicate at all. Johan however was very helpful througout the whole affair and we relied on him alot and he did not disappoint.
The venue was very nice but the rooms need some attention. We had a little incident where an envelope given as a present disappeared from the presents table and after a month we still don't know who took it and have not heard one word from them even though they have CCTV cameras pointing right at it. It had to be one if the staff members as I doubt our family and friends will go so low.
Other than that everything went down smoothly but there's a serious lack of communication.

We had a wedding function at this venue on 9 December 2017 and had a few issues with the venue during the course of the weekend.

Upon our arrival we were told by the bride’s mom that the bride was not allowed to keep the keys to the honeymoon suite for the friday night, if the bride’s mom had not been there the friday to start setting up the bride would not have been able to set up her stuff so long in the honeymoon suite to get ready the saturday this would have caused a huge delay in time if this happened.

They asked us (the bridal party) to be at breakfast an hour earlier than usual on saturday morning, breakfast usually starts at 08:30 and we had to be there at 07:30 because they knew the make up and hair started early, when we arrived at the restaurant there was no one in sight, we had to go to the back of the restaurant and get someone to assist, when we told them we were here for breakfast they looked confused they called the chef and the chef told us that breakfast starts at 08:30 when we told him that the people from the venue asked us to be here early he said that he was not informed but he will quickly make a phone call, he came back and told us he will bring out breakfast in the next few minutes, we did not get an apology about the miscommunication whatsoever.

There was a yearend function the friday night so we could not start setting up the friday for the wedding on saturday, but the venue ensured the bride and her mom that they will open the venue 06:00 the saturday morning so that we can get everything and start setting up, however when the bride’s mom went to the venue 06:00 there was not a person in sight yet again and everything was still locked up, we only had land line numbers to phone and no cell phone numbers were offered, the staff on site offered very little help to get hold of the people to open the venue for us. The venue was finally opened at 09:00.

Sushi was part of the dinner at reception and it was fresh and delicious, the soya sauce was put in a dispenser however there were no soya sauce cups provided to pour the sauce in or sticks to eat the sushi with, the bride had to ask for soya sauce cups, they brought out tot glasses, how are u supposed to dunk ur sushi in a tot glass?? Needless to say the sushi did not fit in the tot glass. The pasta and the desert was delicious and well prepared.

The rooms are very spacious, but I did see a lot of spider webs and spiders in the bathroom, our shower was a bit uncomfortable as the shower head is in a corner and in front of us there was a built in wooden stand/chair not sure what it’s supposed to be but I assume it is for a disabled person or elderly because of this we could not stand directly under the shower head and enjoy a nice shower it felt awkward and uncomfortable. Check out time is at 09:30 and you have to pack everything and remove your belongings from the room before you go to breakfast, I think its a bit too early for check out time and to expect your guests to pack everything before breakfast after a night of celebrations is a bit inconsiderate and its the first time I came across rules like this.

I also went onto their facebook page to check the reviews to see what other guests have experienced with this venue I was shocked to see that they have switched off the option to write a review so there are no reviews available for people to guide them when looking at the venue as a potential venue for them to use, this does not make sense as businesses thrives on good reviews and made me think that they have received numerous bad reviews in the past and do not want people to be aware of it.

Overall it is a beautiful and very big wedding venue, but the staff lacks communication skills and they could also improve their skills in assisting guests when there are issues, they also need to pay attention to the smaller details to ensure that everything is perfect for the events they are hosting.

We arrived late from our cape town flight and were kindly helped with our keys to our room well after check in time. room 1 is large with one double bed and two singles, coffee facilities, a lovely big bathroom with separate shower and toilet. Basic, but very well decorated and well done for the price you pay. Breakfast is amazing with plenty to choose from and the service is super friendly.

We had a family wedding at Casa-Lee Country Lodge on Friday, the 5th of January 2017 and we had the pleasure of staying over.

We're also in the hospitality industry.  A three star graded lodge in Muldersdrift to be exact.

Casa-Lee Country Lodge is a stunning venue for small and intimate weddings.  However, to be totally honest; this venue needs major improvement to be more successful in the future.  The staff can be a bit friendlier and they lack the ability to offer customer service skills in many ways.

The room we had slept in was below standard, although it was neat and somewhat clean.  There was neither a television nor a air-conditioner in the room, which is a must if you have guests that's traveling from far.  Housekeeping improvement is also required as the glasses and teacups were either full of dust or dirty.  The spiderwebs in the window sills needs to be removed before guests check in.  The roof fan in the room where my mother-in-law and sister-in-law had slept only had three blades, which is below health and safety standards.  Both these rooms (number 5 and 8) had roof leaks right above the beds.

We loved the chapel and the reception hall.  However, when we asked for the air-conditioners to be switched on we were told that they aren't working.  At some stage after the main course was served one of our guest at our table had to clear the dirty plates as the staff took too long to do it.

In conclusion,  we had a pleasant stay!
