From making the telephonic booking, organising a very weird check-in time and arriving at the lodge, the lady I dealt with was friendly and very efficient.
As stated, I arrived late evening and had to depart very early so I didn't get to enjoy this very neat establishment to its fullest.
The room was spacious and well equipped for my needs. The walls are a bit thin and I felt sorry for my neighbours when I had to depart at 5 am on a Saturday.
This place scores very High in my books and I will recommend it without a doubt.

Our chalet was all prepared for our arrival with a jug of fresh milk for a cup of coffee. That was really appreciated. The chalet was clean with clear instructions and information in the room. The kitchenette was fully equipped with all the bells and whistles one would need. Lovely gardens with abundant bird life. The pool was sparkling and the facilities for the kids were all well maintained.
Thank you for a pleasant stay. We have booked our return trip already.

We stayed in Kudu cottage for 2 nights and wished it was for more. The lodges are delightful with interesting small touches such as carved wooden and metalwork animals around and about. Comfortable bed in the main room and our lodge had a mezzanine floor with two good sized single beds. Everything was clean, neat and good quality including bedlinen and plentiful towels.
The Bathroom is neat and clean with a good shower and a bath. Plenty of hot water and some nice complimentary shampoos etc.
Kudu Cottage also has a small but very well equipped kitchenette with a large fridge and a handy gas cooker. Attention to detail is high at Ciara Lodge and we found a jug of fresh milk in the fridge along with tea and coffee supplies. Each lodge also has a braai stand and the kitchen has all the utensils you could need.
The swimming pool area is exceptionally pretty and although communal is private and quiet. Our small son enjoyed himself thoroughly and the pool is very clean. Security is very high but unobtrusive.
There are local shopping centres within a few minutes drive for all you might require plus the usual Mr Delivery food service and you are very close to most of the tourist attractions in Pretoria. There is plenty of parking and Ciara Lodge is easy to find.
Our only very small (tiny!) niggle was that the wireless internet service can be weak (in our lodge we had no signal but maybe not the same in others) and perhaps some extra repeaters would be a thought to provide better internet access.
We plan to return to Ciara Lodge for a longer stay during our next trip to SA. It’s a little bit like heaven!
"Family room with loft is great and a pool right outside. Squeaky wooden floors and church-bell sounds can take getting used to."Read full review
"the cabana's facing the pool at least have a better view and are situated further from the road."Read full review
"I stayed in the room which did not have kitchen, as I did not need/want to cook. But it did have a fridge where I could store my drinks/fruits etc. It is a B&B (you cook your breakfast), so, ask for the room with kitchen, if that is what you want. Otherwise also, shopping mall with plenty of eateries is within 2 km range, which comes very handy."Read full review
"The 2 bedroom apartment had no AC but did not actually need it and we weren't even there in the cooler months. It has 1 room with a double and the other room has a twin and a queen."Read full review
