We love Farm Inn!

The Lions roar next to my Chalet! They fascinate us with their mysterious sounds, and definitely draw our attention.

I see many Families visiting Farm Inn for the Personal Game Drives, excellent, affordable Food and Outdoor Family Encounters with the free roaming antelope!

The Giraffe " Patches" make sure we enjoy our stay!

I highly recommend Farm Inn for happy, healthy families who want to enjoy nature in the middle of the City!

Pedro, the owner of Farm Inn always welcome People with his Friendly smile and LOOONG Beard, Children love him for all his beautiful stories and wise advice.
Have a Cup of Tea with the King of the Castle! and learn more about the last 44Years he has kept this Boat on the Water!

I bless Farm Inn with more Love and More Joy and bringing you, your Inner Peace!
Visit and Relax like Never Before at Farm Inn!

Wonderful break away from the city
The place just opened after the lockdown so had some maintenance challenges (thanks to Eustice for the quick assistance), but still lots of fun for the kids at the petting zoo, breakfast in the garden and a game drive with Matthew and Kevin.

Pedro made us feel more than welcome in his beautiful gem hidden not far from the city.

Always loved hearing the lions - its amazing being so close to those beautiful creatures.

We stayed at The Stables. Lovely big corner bath and big room. Our rooms next to the Lion's Camp and that was amazing to see them and hear the roar.

We were really surprised by the amount of venues ! We had a function in "Letaba". Food was excellent and great service. We could not complain at all ...........

Just think the garden needs some TLC

Booking done stricly via email.
Emails on responded to between Monday and Wednesday.
Absolutely run down, unkempt and derelict.
Reception staff completely clueless and uninformed.
Landlines not functional.
Taps trickling with rusted water if at all.
Restaurant bathroom stalls have not been cleaned in weeks.
Room was not booked and staff could not refund costs.

For what was once an interesting spot, it has become a proverbial sh1thole.

Stay the hell away, for your own safety and sanity.

The whole place should be condemned as a hazard.

I need to share my experience with The Farm Inn and the manager Dewald Maritz. I booked the guesthouse for my clients from Germany with arrival in April. However, they had to cancel in March 2020 due to Covid and the border closing. I have had already made full payment for my clients and asked Dewald for a refund. Today 8 months later I have still not received a cent from them neither any communications. Various times Mr. Dewald Maritz advised that they have a court case and can only pay back once he knows the outcome of the court case. I have sent him an email a few days ago to advise that there were no cancellation fees applicable as according to the properties terms and conditions cancellation fees are only applicable 14 days prior and my clients cancelled 22 days prior. i had that in writing and have sent it to him. He never responded to my emails and ignored all of them. Today I have sent him a What's app to follow up on my email and he blocked me without responding. This establishment has terrible business ethics and I can not recommend it under any circumstances to anyone. To withhold refunds from customers and clients and don't even bother to communicate properly or respond to emails is a terrible business ethics. No communication whatsoever and if you confront Mr. Dewald Maritz with facts and his own terms and conditions he blocks clients on What's ap. They don't even make any effort to get in touch with you they just block their clients on What's app and never respond and keep payments unlawful. It is a disgrace that someone is allowed to operate a guesthouse and restaurant with this business ethics.

The Farm Inn is unfortunately not what it used to be anymore.
I was so excited to take my family for a lovely Sunday lunch, as we used to have a few years go.
The food quality is in general of very low quality and pork was raw (which is actually a health and safety risk).
The saddest part of all is that last night I read the reviews and saw that there were some shockingly bad ones which I didn’t want to believe as I have always held the Farm Inn in high regard.
Unfortunately the negative reviews are true.
I hope owner P gets a grip on things and makes some executive decisions to bring back some standards.

We have stayed at The Farm Inn many times. It's always great to relax there and enjoy the numerous bird species in the garden, hear the sound of the lions roar at night while in bed, get a sense of rustic Africa while on business travel. We always stay there during travel to South Africa. Our first stay at the Farm Inn was in 2016.

The entrance gate looks run down, the security guards are rude. The road leading to the main building might seriously damage your car. There are security signs everywhere ... doesn't me feel very welcome. The place looks dated, everyone on this site says the rooms are gorgeous ... well yes, granted they are spacious but its as if if you've stepped into 1990, think the Fresh Prince of Bel Air. The food is mediocre. It feels as if no one has put any thought into the hotel for years. Service is not consistent. This is not a 4 star hotel by a long shot ... at best a 3 star.

I booked a much needed stay at The Farm Inn. We looked forward to relax in the well kept gardens; the beautiful rooms; the wonderful food! When you look at their website, it seems as if everything is too good too be true!! BUT......
From the moment you arrive, things look neglected. When you turn into their driveway from the main road, their menu is written by someone in his own hanndwriting with yellow paint on a black board! Really would suggest they let a professional printing company take care of that! Next is the gardens - neglected! Weeds growing; no cutting of grass... Parking area - nets need urgent attention etc.
The we booked in..... the room.... Want to agree with all the others - EIGHTIES!! In need of urgent attention! Old furniture; old tv's; bathroom stained; old cupboards...
The staff are very friendly and helpful though! That was unfortunately the only positive thing about The Farm Inn. I would suggest that they close the place, and renovate it urgently. They definitely do not AT ALL deserve a 4 star rating! I think they earned it maybe a long time ago....
They are portraying a false image on their website as well. This is unacceptable!
The Farm Inn has lots of potential - but is in need of desperate attention. I really hope that the owners make time to read all these reviews!

Nice setting, but the front desk guy gave me the wrong directions, sending me miles in the opposite direction, late on a day that had started at 4:30 a.m. Then they told me I had to pay 60 rand for a wireless connection and--get this--the key number expires at 6 a.m. So you can stay in your room till the 10 a.m. checkout. You just can't do any business there, unless you want to pay another 60 rand. The same guy at the front desk who gave me wrong directions also gave me the wrong key number. Nobody apologized. In fact, they pretended it was my computer's fault.
