The lodge is very clean, the rooms are spacious and airy. That's about the only positive thing I can say about this place. The food is horrible, the kitchen staff even worse. They do not even wait for you to finish eating when they remove the food from the buffet table. On top of everything else, the food was cold and not kept warm at all. The food was never enough for everybody and some of us had to wait for a long period of time while they were busy preparing more food. They were busy dishing for themselves while the guests were still busy eating, never mind the fact that people, who actually paid for the service, might want a second helping. We asked them to leave everything and wait until everybody has , but it seem to fell on deaf ears. I will never recommend this place to anyone. The only reason why I gave them 3 stars is for the beautifully laid out rooms, the decor and lovely garden.

I found that the room I slept in, would smell of the kitchen food every morning and evening whenever food was being prepared. The meals I found to be tasteless and often over cooked or under cooked. It is evident that a chief was not preparing the food. the lunches at the venue often did not have enough food for all the people. at one point there was not knives and forks or coffee mugs. I found that the Lady at the front was quite rude, at one point she was shouting at staff Infront of guest etc... Not sure if she should be a front of house person dealing with people. the bathroom window didn't close. There is lots of potential in the building, but not a great experience overall.

I made a booking for my brother at this lodge. I had to phone four times in order to make a booking and a receive a booking confirmation. The staff did not sound very friendly or competent. I was also told that he would be given a gate code to come and go as he pleased but this was not the case. Upon arrival the staff was quite unfriendly, but checking in was fast and the rooms were really nice. What you would expect paying R650 a night. However, he was not given any wifi code or shown how to operate the air conditioning or anything else. When we dropped my brother off at 10 pm that evening, we had to wait for over 10 minutes for someone to open the gate for us (half-dressed). The next evening he couldn't even get to his room as there was no answer. The breakfast we had there was appalling for R80 a plate, the lady who served as was rude and we had to call for help three times before assisted us. Really not what I would expect from accommodation here in Pretoria, especially not for the price they are charging. I would not recommend anyone stay here.

An excellent lodge to stay in B&B style. Conferencing area for approximately 20 people with plenty of stylish rooms to stay. Close to shops and shopping malls. Very good healthy food and menu can be customised. Friendly, helpful staff. Good security and secure parking. Interior very tastefully decorated.
