Was booked into this hotel by the Irish Embassy in Pretoria as I was attending a meeting. Very nice Boutique hotel, great food, great service.

The room wasnt the biggest I stayed in but it catered for my needs fully, would stay here again when back in the area.

We had our wedding at Village Ridge Hotel and the staff was amazing in making our day very special. We had an amazing time and experience. We stayed the night in the presedential suite and the room was great. Very clean and a very comfortable night's sleep. Thank you Village Ridge!

Visited earlier today to celebrate my birthday. Was a complete surprise gift and what a treat it was! The ladies at the spa were sweethearts and they even sang Happy Birthday to me before my treatment. There were complimentary drinks as part of my package too. I had a facial and a pedicure. Head to toe feels amazing! The environment was spotless and tranquil. The service was utterly professional and warm. The products they use are from their own store - rain, which have rapidly become my favourite body products in recent weeks. All natural cruelty-free, affordable and job creating, not to mention how spectacular they smell and feel on your skin. Would highly recommend visiting the spa if you are staying here and even if you are like me and live nearby. Thank you to the ladies there today, you really made me feel special.

I got a room upstairs from the reception. It's a nice small room. You can see the owner has taste arranging the good quality decorations. No elevator to my but a stair case. If you cannot carry your stuff and hate walking stairs, don't take a room upstairs.
Reception staff is very friendly and helpful.
The hotel is located at a good location. You need your own transport to get to places as its too far to walk to anything. Guarded parking available inside the hotel's premises. Internet works great and has a good speed.
Besides that...
There is no alarm clock, even though it's mentioned on the room's manual. Fortunately, the reception offers wake up calls. From the room you hear continuous noise from everywhere and it annoyed me a lot. The fridge in the room constantly runs and is noisy.
Water pumps, people at the reception talk in a loud way and the noise comes in the room. This is the same for staff walking outside talking loudly or staff sitting at the sofa chatting with eachother in a loud manner. Than there is this annoying playing of the same music over and over agai in the hallway which you can hear in the room. I feel I can get no quiet moment at any time.
There is no microwave in the room and no ironer. Windows do not have mosquito nets, so when you open the windows, be prepared to be a healthy diet for the mosquitos.
Breakfast is not included. On the table you find milk, some cereals, plain yoghurt and some fruit. Most of the mornings I was there, there was no staff to offer me anything.
I am disappointed.

I did not stay in the hotel, but have frequented their out door restaurant several times.
A wonderful place for reunions, or just a quiet cup of coffee. The breakfasts are excellent and the lunch curries, divine.

We recently returned from a family vacation to South Africa.
We stayed in the Village Ridge Hotel for 4 nights but would love to have stayed longer.
We had a great time there. Lovely friendly staff and great service.
The rooms were beautiful and the king size bed was very comfortable.
I would highly recommend a stay in the Village Ridge Hotel.

I stayed at the Village Ridge for a week while on business in Pretoria. Right from the pickup at the airport to the last day, I had a fantastic time at the Village Ridge. The staff members were warm, welcoming and very helpful. The room was clean, the bedding was comfortable and there was a desk to work at. The room also had a balcony. The breakfast was tasty and there was a decent choice. We also had dinner in the hotel and the meals we had were delicious. There is a swimming pool but it is very small. The bar has a good selection of drinks and the siting outside is very nice. On request the hotel can provide a shuttle service to and from the local shopping mall. If business brings me back to Pretoria, I would stay here again.

We held our wedding anniversary celebration at Village Ridge Boutique Hotel. The setting is amazing, the staff so helpful and the food tasty. The staff went out of their way to help and accommodate us. Would and can recommend this boutique hotel for a function.

The Village Ridge Boutique Hotel has it all----comfortable rooms, luxury bedding, great, friendly service, good food and all the ambience you could ask for. The location is great, seemingly off the beaten path, but actually within reasonable walking distance of Brooklyn Mall and several good restaurants. The Hotel's pizzeria is superb--and they'll happily customize your pizza. Will definitely return if business brings me to Pretoria again.
