The old classrooms of the 1980s have been converted into six stunning, contemporary rooms. The guesthouse can sleep up to 12 guests. The seventh room is a luxurious suite with a king-size four-poster bed and two en-suite bathrooms; the main bathroom has a shower and the second has a free-standing bath overlooking a private garden. Our charming, free-standing thatch cottage used to be a school tuck shop, and has been beautifully renovated into a tranquil space. It has a king-size sleigh bed and en-suite bathroom with a shower and free-standing bath. It also has a separate spacious lounge. The outside patio is surrounded by beautiful trees and abundant bird-life. The farmhouse is located 800m from the other guestrooms and main coffee shop, has four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, braai facilities, games room, lounge, and a large garden where you can soak up fabulous views of the grassland. A spacious home away from home!

We were really looking forward to our stay at Rosemary Hill until we actually stayed. Our pod (3) did not meet our expectations. Shower water was all over the place we had to use towels to prevent water going outside the shower. Sink was dirty. The room smell of rosemary, I struggled to sleep. The bedding wasn’t clean, bed made squeaky sounds. Pillows were not comfortable. When we checked out the ladies at reception didn’t even bother to ask if we had a great stay. They just took the key. I do believe the expensive lodges are more beautiful than the small pods. I wouldn’t even rate our stay 1… it was zero. Our feet hanged on the edge of the bed and I am 1.71 my partner is 1.74 … we had to hold each other throughout the night because the bed was so tiny .. when you turn you either fall or turn on your partner.

The space is a true hidden gem! I took my sister for her birthday. Everything about your space was breathtaking. The only issue was the pool its too small its like we have to take turns using it. I will definitely come back with the whole family. Thank you

Visited for 2 nights with hubby, loved it so much feels like you are out of the province it’s so peaceful, would just prefer for the cafe behind the treehouses to be open most of the time as you wouldn’t want to drive everytime you want something to eat or drink but it was a beautiful experience

We stayed in the Pod for 2 nights and it was amazing. The room was cozy and is just perfect for a couples trip! We had organised a romantic picnic and it did not disappoint at all, we were in love with the setup and the fresh foods. We were visiting from overseas and it was well worth the money spent! Will definitely be back soon!

Stayed in the Hideout and really disappointed with the cleanliness. It's as if the place was just tidied up. The entire place needs to be hosed down and spring cleaned. It is extremely dusty as if it was abandoned for months and is not well maintained. The Greenhouse Cafe barely had any ingredients for breakfast, not even juice, and the pizza we ordered for dinner was soggy and mushy. Staff are very friendly and plenty activities but will definitely not return.

The property is wedding oriented rather than family friendly. The website oversells as the Sunset villa is dirty, rundown and poorly maintained. The fridge inside is dirty, the kitchen items have unhygienic remnants of old food from previous guests, housekeeping doesn't clean the floors daily and the braai/BBQ grill has old hard fat from the use of previous guests. There isn't much to do really as most of the property is closed during the week. The dinner restaurant is closed during the week and when hosting a wedding on weekend days. So unless you self cater, the only option on the property is to eat a picnic basket for dinner, every night. The farm shop has very limited stock and no fresh baked goods such as bread advertised on their website. The property also refuses to assist with a picnic set-up during your stay unless you purchase their specific picnic basket foods. The fossil fuel powered generator is noisy at night during load shedding power outages and located closely to the Sunset villa. Privacy is limited as the accommodation is dense on the property and in very close proximity - you will hear and see employees and other guests every few minutes.

The area is so beautiful and peaceful, one can completely forget that you're less than an hour away from the city. We stayed at the cabin, which was beautifully decorated, very cosy and had everything you could need for self-catering. The only "low point" was the shower/bathroom situation. It would be great if there was a shower curtain or glass separating that room. The outside net was absolutely amazing! Great to relax on.

Stayed at Pod Idladla. Everything was perfect. Amazing and romantic getaway. Breakfast is included! Staff are friendly. The best part was the wood fired tub. Will definitely be back to try out different accommodations.
