Bwelani Guest House is truly a home away from home thanks to Susan, the guest house owner, and her kind and helpful staff. The Guest House is beautifully decorated with various pieces of art collected from Susan's travels and each room has so much character! Susan is also an amazing cook and, together with her staff, whipped up delicious meals for our group of 26! I spent nine days at Bwelani for a workshop at the nearby (walking distance) University of Pretoria. We had some last minute changes to our schedule and Susan was very helpful and accommodating with our meals, meal times, and even organized the guest house for us to hold a session there instead of at the university. The conference room in the guest house is fully equipped with A/C, a projector, whiteboard, and a lovely area for a tea/coffee break. Lastly, the Guest House is centrally located and Uber drivers knew exactly where to pick us up/drop us off. I would absolutely stay here again!

Bwelani is truly a home away from home, loved everything about the guesthouse from the warmness of the staff, to the food. Rooms were cleaned daily and a regular change of beddings and towels. The guesthouse is also conveniently located close to the University of Pretoria, malls and restaurants. Definitely staying at Bwelani in case I visit Pretoria again

The venue is very inviting. Staff is helpful and friendly. They were catering for everyone's dietary needs. The rooms were cozy and also have self-catering facilities although we had breakfast lunch snacks and dinner.

This guesthouse is a couple of minutes walk from University of Pretoria. The owner, Susan, and her staff (and beautiful dog) are very welcoming and helpful. The L-shaped guesthouse is full of artefacts and craft work, making each room different. The small swimming pool was inviting, and the gardens shady and restful. Breakfasts are huge made mainly from home grown produce; a small breakfast required good negotiating skills so as not to offend! Rooms are quirky, comfortable and highly individual. Those on the ground floor have a fridge and those on the upper floor share a small kitchen and lead onto a veranda. Sitting under the veranda's tin roof, watching and listening to a High Veld storm, sipping good red wine was quite an experience! We had no problems with wifi, though the signal may be stronger in some rooms. Bathrooms are large, also quite originally furnished, but well stocked with towels and bath products. The guesthouse staff pay a lot of attention to guests' security. There is a small shopping mall about 15 minutes walk away, but this was the furthest we were encouraged to go without transport.
