We are very disappointed with the accommodation, since after arriving we had to wait two hours to have our room. We had reserved the family room for 6 people weeks ago, they already knew that there would be 6 of us since they reserved dinner for us. When it was our surprise, they told us that we had chosen a room for 4 people that we had to pay for another room or stay in the Sofa-bed (without even giving us a set of sheets). They offered to call us to make a reservation and resolve it ourselves. Finally, after 30 minutes of discussion, we got them to solve the problem with Booking and they gave us a free room for 2. Their lack of seriousness caused us a lot of discomfort and anxiety, especially because the hotel was completely empty.

Mela Luxury Game Lodge is a great lodge. Extremely tranquil with beautiful gardens and great views.
The rooms are very spacious and neat with a modern touch.
Great indoor & outdoor deck dining areas. The two boma areas as well as the pool are all well maintained.
The cuisine and service was great.
Overall this is a great lodge for a weekend getaway catering to all your needs.
