I stayed at 'The Blades' for the nights of the 5th to 7th March. This establishment advertises itself as a four star accommodation establishment. The rooms are pleasant and adequate however, the rooms are double-storeyed and there is no assistance for your bags especially if you are on the top floor. The roads leading to the hotel and on the...

I have just cancelled my stay at this place after only being there for 3 hours. The managers allow loud music to be played at all times with competing music playing from within the premises and the neighbouring property. They appear to have no way to deal with this and left me with no option but to check out. Check...

We booked a night away at The Blades for some R&R. Had a relaxing picnic on the lawn on arrival - the picnic baskets are great (adding something sweet would have been awesome though). Checked into a lovely large executive suite with a beautiful view. Nespresso machine in the room is a definite plus. Dinner on the deck was great,...

The lunch venue did not live up to the website promotion The food was reasonable but when you have to ask for the table cloth to be changed it says a lot about the restaurant standard The service was okay but a bit slow and the restaurant was not busy.

The overall consensus of the group was very positive and the workshop we attended was very successful. The few small issues experienced were easily ironed out and everyone was happy - this was mostly around the delivery and serving of Kosher meals. We had to remind the kitchen to ensure that all meals were served at the same time and...

Stayed here for a couple of days after flying in from the UK. It's an absolute gem - beautifully thought out and sensitive to the landscape, landscaped in the right places, left as bushveld in others. They had a big function on the night we arrived but we completely able to have a romantic dinner for two. The food is...

Chef Sammy Mashile's dinner best I've ever had, rib were well marinated, not dry and the lamb was presented in a 5 star way I haven't seen in a long while. The Hospitality team exceeded my expectations of mediocrity, the Blades Team was a well oiled machine, always willing to enjoy the moment and serve with a smile, Rony, Kenneth,...

What a surprise to find such a wonderful place on the banks of Roodeplaat. We went for lunch to celebrate the new year and were not disappointed! Enjoyed a 3 course meal that was absolutely Devine and will be back.
