We spoilt ourselves with an indulgent night at the Orient. Overall, it certainly lived up to its reputation. The grounds and conservancy are wonderful, the Marrakesh Suite was opulent and warm on a chilly Gauteng night, and the Mosaic restaurant was exceptional. My only quibbles

We've heard about "The Orient" boutique hotel and it's reputed "Mosaic" restaurant via a magazine. My husband decided to surprise me by celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary at this luxurious place. He knows "it's a perfect place" as I have worked in one of the luxury hotels

We stayed at the Orient Private Hotel for the weekend to celebrate my birthday. We chose the venue deliberately to enjoy the best of Restaurant Mosaic, the signature and award winning restaurant of the hotel. From the moment we entered the gates of the estate until we left on

This was our second visit to this gem of a hotel. It is one of those hotels that deserves the highest praise yet seems to be a bit of a secret. If you're looking for a hideaway in Gauteng that will pamper you and that is serene and peaceful, then this is the place! You can take

Dear PurchaseCircus I am glad you enjoyed The Orient and the Art at The Orient. With regards to the rooms, we have four tiers of Luxury Suites, of which Nineveh was the one your reserved and one of the most affordable rooms available. Although the Nineveh Suite has its own private balcony, we will make sure that during your next stay, we reserve one of our more luxurious suites for you. Remember next time to indicate on the reservation questionnaire that you prefer a Coffee Machine to be put in your room, or if you make your reservation by telephone, you are welcome to request a coffee machine. We offer it for free so you may enjoy your coffee in the comfort of your room whenever you desire.

Dear Kevin H, all three of our Royal Suites ( Marakesh, Constantinople and Udaiphur) have exceptional views. We have recently revamped the Mogador suite which also has a very beautiful view, but since this is a tower room you do need to like a bit of exercise ... as there is less than a 100 but definately more than 50 steps leading to the room.
