This Majestic Orient Boutique Hotel is a Gem and is perfectly located with beautiful views and lush greenery all around. The hotel has a warm and cosy ambiance and majestically decorated. The Constantinople Suite was exquisite with beautiful, historic traditional decor and unique features. Lovely outdoor balcony and spacious bathroom with a huge King size bed suited for Royalty. The service was outstanding from all the staff with special thanks to Mari the owner and her daughter Chef Chantel. What a pleasure meeting you both and showcasing us the beautiful Orient Hotel. The cuisine at Restaurant Mosaic is on another level and out of this world. The Christmas Eve dinner and breakfast was like no other. Fine dining at it's best. The hotel boasts unique features such as the…
To say The Orient is just a hotel is an understatement. It is an experience. We flew into the Lanseria airport and at the recommendation of the hotel were picked up by a private car service for our 30 minute ride to The Orient. From the moment we were driven through the conservatory to the magnificent gated entrance we knew this was a very special place. There are trails to explore around the property with animals and birds along all the routes. The grounds are stunning with natural grasses, plants and vegetation growing wild in their natural environment, an Asian influenced garden with a Buddhist temple and meditation garden. Every corner was a place of beauty including the outside patio and intimate pool area. We were welcomed by Surprise and she did such a wonderful job…
We had the opportunity to do a wine tasting and food pairing at Mosaic Restaurant at the Orient. What a mind blowing experience. Not only is Chantal's food a lovely bombardment of all your senses, but Kobus's cellar is a more than worthy partner. The staff is very knowledgable, friendly and goes out of their way to accommodate you. We stayed over at The Orient and was treated from the moment we set foot inside the oppulent gates. There are a few routes you can walk, but these were not so clearly marked. Luckily the Estate is not so big that you can get lost. Breakfast was another feast for our eyes and senses. This is a definite must-do if you love food and love to be treated.
The most amazing evening we have ever had!!! Chantal with her fantastic team really go above and beyond for you. Every little detail is taken into account. The food and the wine is out of this world!! A true and complete spoil! Thank you for a wonderful evening full of amazing tastes. Breakfast is just as awesome!!! Must must must!!!
This place is a true oriental oasis not far from Pretoria. It’s an outstanding place for special occasions and a place to cherish. Somewhere to get away from the madding crowds and just enjoy. The decor takes you straight to The orient and plunges you into life during the Raj. The rooms are fun. The whole atmosphere so relaxing. The food, of course, is out of this world. The service top class. The little details make all the difference. Can’t wait to go back.
