Friendly staff, great breakfast! Will definitely recommend Castello di Monte to anyone! The rooms have excellent views and the location is also one of the best. The bed was very comfortable. Will visit again!

Built like a Tuscan villa it has innovative architecture and despite being only 13 years old has bags of character. We enjoyed lunch at the top of the tower that has a nice outlook over the surrounding area. It’s in the wealthy diplomatic area of Pretoria. We went for a walk around the local neighbourhood – we were the exception;...

What an amazing spot. One feels like royalty staying here. Great set up, friendly service and spectacular views. We only stayed one night but it was fantastic and very reasonable. Better than any Fairmont hotel in Canada for a third of the price. What a treat. Breakfast was included and out of this world.

It was our 25th wedding anniversary and we wanted to make it a very special day. It was everything that we expected. The service was excellent, the rooms and overall interior were breathtaking and especially the breakfast was out if this world.

I had a chance to stay at this picturesque Gem, while on business in South Africa, very lovely place to stay if you want to avoid the big hotels, very peaceful, and personalized services, one feels like a prince in the oversized palatial rooms. I recommend this place for business or Couples wanting to spend time together off grid.

We stayed a single night after arriving on Rovos rail, before our onward journey. Room was excellent as were the facilities - we just hung around on our balcony and watched the world go by. The food was very very good given it is such a small boutique hotel - Thandi was great with service and the chef came out...

Have stayed at the Castello di Monte on at least 4 occasions. Whenever visiting Pretoria for work or pleasure, this is the first choice of accomodations. Positives: Friendly and accomodating management and staff, super comfortable rooms, excellent location in town, reasonably priced compared to other high end guest houses in the area. Negatives: none ever noted. Highly recommend the Castello,...

Unfortunately we weren’t able to enjoy our stay as much as we would have liked because of our very late arrival off the Blue Train. Housekeeping provided us with a mountain of sandwiches very late at night but we couldn’t finish them –just too much of a good thing. We had upgraded to the Presidential Suite and it was just...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and our surroundings. The room was decorated in true Italian décor, very elegant and very comfortable. The Guesthouse was very close to a variety of restaurants and we had the choice of a lovely menu at the Guesthouse. From when we arrived, we were very impressed with our reception, from the porter to the Receptionist....

Like a lot of guests, we only stayed on night, prior to boarding The Blue Train early the following morning. The hotel is easy to find, located in an elevated part of Pretoria with panoramic views (from certain parts of the hotel) over the city. The staff are all very good and keen to be as helpful as possible. The...
