I stayed over while my husband was in hospital: the accommodation was extremely comfortable and safe. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and it was a huge bonus having the restaurant on site and not having to travel when you were not really familiar with the area.

I chose this place as it was quite close to Kloof Mediclinic, about 5 minutes drive. I stayed there the night before a procedure. They were friendly and extremely accomodating. Beautifully decorated. The room I syaed in was on the ground floor and was great as it was able to accomodate those who have different physical needs. It was wheel chair friendly, wide doors, and the shower was wheel chair friendly too, with a side handle and a shower seat. The bed was big and comfy. There were a few channels available from DSTV access. The internet speed worked fine for apps like Netflix, Whatsapp, Facebook etc. (Free internet access). There was room service, and a lovely restaurant. I did not get to experience it personally, but if you check out their website, there is a menu available.

I first stayed at Opikopi a year ago. During my second visit, my expectations were not disappointed, only confirmed in the best possible way. The rooms are furnished with only one's comfort in mind and with noticeable attention to detail and style. I just loved my coffee machine! The food, from the sumptuous breakfast spread (that nut cake!) and the morish snacks to the excellent sit-down meals, is a definite drawcard. A well-prepared, tasty and varied menu. (Your Greek salad needs some inspiration though, and the wine list could offer greater choice.) Finally, the conference facility, where we spent most of our time, is comfortable, well equipped and with excellent connectivity. Did I mention the tempting teatime snacks? And the consistently good coffee? Your staff deserve praise for their attentiveness, courteousness and obviously good training and grooming. I sincerely hope to visit again.
One last note: there was a group of people whose stay coincided with ours and who regularly sat outside till late in the evening, talking and laughing loudly. I didn't bother me that much, but other members of our party were disturbed by their behaviour. Perhaps you could revise your policy on late-night socialising and consumption of alcohol?

We stayed in the 4-bedroom house, though we only needed two of the rooms. It was beautiful and a really lovely stay. The beds are comfortable, and daily housekeeping made sure that it was immaculately clean. There is an upstairs "living room" off of the master bedroom (which has its own bathroom with jacuzzi) which was a great place to hang out. The internet was good and very reliable, even when the power cut out because of load shedding (and was supplied locally by both solar and generator) like it does all over South Africa. There is a full kitchen and housekeeping every day. The house has a washer and dryer, but we were told to use their laundry service instead, and clothes were returned promptly and in good shape. They were very helpful in setting up day tours, including a game drive at the Dinokeng reserve. This was a good place to just hang out for a couple of days in a lovely, gated neighborhood of Pretoria. The restaurant is fabulous (it just won a "best of" award) which was a real bonus, and we thoroughly enjoyed and appreciate our stay. For an American, this place is a very good value.

The service was excellent. We really enjoyed our stay in the suites. The"food in the restaurant "The pepper-tree" was really delicious. We enjoyed dinner and breakfast both. We left on August, 5th at 3.30 p.m., but we were able to leave our luggage up to that time in our rooms.

Opikopi was the last leg of my international travel for work and was exactly the place I needed. It was quaint and quiet which was much needed! The staff was amazing and very friendly, we were also able to utilize one of the conference rooms for a work meeting after a delicious breakfast. The food was great and would definitely stay here again!

I stayed at Opikopi a number of times with my husband preCovid and the staff was always warm and made it pleasant. This time I took my sister there and we were rushed. I was told breakfast ends at 11:00 and therefore I could come for breakfast at 10:00 since we could not get a late check out. The next morning my nephew came to have breakfast with us and the manager told him that I didn’t book a table for breakfast and that breakfast ends at 10:00 as they were very busy but other guests were relaxed and enjoying their breakfast. I paid for Bed and Breakfast and was told we can have breakfast at 10:00 and all of a sudden we are rushed. I guess new staff - different experience but it was not pleasant.

We always like staying here. Lovely maintained property, stylish interior of all areas, a very pleasant vibe, good food and an excellent Manager and staff.
Unfortunately, the coffee, sweetener, water in our room were not refilled, and it is not quite expected at a 5 star property.
Overall, very good value for money.

After 18 days in hospital the sleep over at Opikopi was a welcome treat.
We slept in Room 2, which can accommodate families of 3. Please note it is cosy and definitely not for busy kids.
We slept in the same room, a long time before Opikopi was a 5 Star Guest House. In 2005 Helen and Pieter opened their house to us when I gave birth to our son at 36 weeks and he spent 11 days in the
neonatal at Kloof hospital.
Opikopi still feels like home away from home.

This 5 Star Guest House is given a 5 Star Rating for a reason. Everything from the food, the accommodation and the Staff was beyond excellent. I've stayed here twice now and will continue to support Opikopi for as long as I travel to Pretoria.
