The place is neat and closely located to the shops and many tourism attractions. The staff is friendly and the prices are reasonable in line with the size of the rooms. The place is not difficult to find and it is good for people who are on business trips to have a temporary place to stay.

Friendly staff.
However quite unprofessional. One prefers to have their breakfast in peace, some of the staff members were grouped right in front of the elevator with a view, chatting as if they didn’t have work to do which was quite disturbing as this is just by the dining area. When you stand up to dish up for yourself- they’re starring.
Also, the aircon has a “heat” option which when you switch to, the temperature is rather cold.
The double room has head lamps attached to the board just above the bed but had no bulbs.
The noise coming from the passages are unbearable. You can’t sleep or nap peacefully.

Horrible service and no custimer service. No shower gel/soap was available and the staff had the audacity to lie that they would bring it. No manager or supervisor available to assist. Would not recommend staying at this place in Pretoria

Crowded room. Not well kept. Phones at reception does not work. You cant get hold of them. For R 100 more you can get a beautiful clean spacious room at city lodge hatfield. You feel much safer and most shops are walking distance. The add and pictures are misleading.

The hotel not as neat as one should expect.
The hotel was too noisy with noise from patrons and maintenance staff outside.
The is a trolley outside used as boom. It had dirty stinky mud.
The entrance with a cracked glass door sums up what you should expect in the Hotel.
I had to relocate to another hotel due to the above.

My stay at the Morning Star Express Hotel was everything I needed and asked for. The room was nice and clean, most importantly quiet which was exactly what I needed hence I was preparing for my exams. The stuff were really friendly and helpful from the driver to the receptionist lovely people.

Hotel is clean and safe, and the service is good. However, the unavailability of dinner and bar was a setback for me, which meant I had to order dinner and drinks in town.
The hotel is convenient because it is close to shops and Government offices.
