Excellent stay. Excellent location. No complains. Quiet environment in a busy city area. Definitely value for money. Will certainly make use of this accommodation again, if in that area. Thank you very much!
I am really not satisfied about the after service received from your property - i phoned in a day or two after my visit informing the receptionist that i forgot my nokia phone in the room i was sleeping in, the male receptionist took down my details with promise to revert but he never.
The self-catering unit was absolutely wonderful and the surroundings were stunning. The guesthouse is conveniently located and suited our needs perfectly. It was our second stay at the guesthouse and we loved it even more. Thank you for accommodating us for an extra night, it's always a treat staying at 137@Murray
Every thing is excellent. You won’t be disappointed. Great location, and you’ll definitely take beautiful pictures - Content content content ❤️🤌🏾, and you’ll do you Good Morning Oouuuh huuuuu huuu 😂👌🏾 Reels ❤️🤧
My stay at the house went well. In general staff was friendly and hospitable. Enjoyed my peaceful morning jog on the quiet streets of Brooklyn. Breakfast and dinner homely. I am suggesting that a provision for shaded parking be arranged especially in the rainy and hot days
The self catering room was exactly what we needed for our trip and the room was absolutely awesome. The surroundings are beautiful and it made our stay very relaxing. I would highly recommend 137@Murray.
My mother and I called ahead to book at 137 Murray guesthouse based on recommendations from Unicef colleagues who place guests on official visits there. We talked to David Sombane on the type of room we wanted and my mother had a follow-up call with him to ensure the room assigned at 137 Murray had a shower since she has had hip replacement surgery and didn’t want to deal with bathtubs. I got a confirmation email with Hotel 224 in the header which puzzled me a bit but given that we had both talked to him about our specifications, I figured it was some sort of holding company. We arrived to be told that we didn’t have a reservation at Murray but that our reservation was at their sister hotel. We were exhausted and rather confused so we asked our driver whether he knew this place and he advised us not to stay in that hotel and location. Luckily, Brooklyn Guesthouse across the street was able to accommodate us and we had a wonderful week long stay there. However, getting a refund for my booking ended up being a pain since we had to go in person to hotel 224 to present my credit card and the friend who initially was willing to drive us there in the evening changed her mind when she heard the location so we had to Uber there the following morning. I must say we really appreciated the professionalism of Bernice van Zijl which was in sharp contrast to the obfuscation of Mr. Sombane. Things ended up working well for us at Brooklyn Guesthouse but consider this fair warning in case he tries this switcheroo move on you.…
We had a lovely stay at Murray Street 137 - The Rooms was beautifully decorated, neat and spacious. Bedding and towels are good quality, and I slept like a baby in the king size bed! Our room had a lovely little 'stoepie' overlooking the garden - ideal for a morning coffee.
Thank you for a beautiful and very comfortable family room stay. The room was spacious and well equipped. The beds comfortable and the bathroom perfect. Thank you for the kind service from booking to check out
A comfortable and clean room with lovely linen and breakfast served. Gardens are lovely and position is close to malls and restaurants. Perfect for a stop over or short stay in Pretoria. Friendly and helpful staff.
