The magnificent and tranquil Whistletree Manor in Pretoria, an absolute gem nestled in Queenswood in the Eastern Suburbs, blends old world charm seamlessly with modern conveniences. The warm and welcoming ambiance can be felt on arrival.
Accommodation is provided in 14 ultra-sumptuous Victorian styled spacious guest rooms. Whistletree Manor is delightfully different ....
We stayed in Lady Sumnerville's room which was very comfortable. I felt like I had walked into Downton Abbey with an african flair. The service was fantastic and the food was wonderful. The Manor is located in a quite neighborhood which was also nice, I felt totally safe. The owner was so helpful in helping us plan our day with directions to print outs of places to sneak in if we had time. The story of the manor was interesting and you could feel the effort put in to keep it in its historical state as well as a modern hotel. Highly Recommend!
The service and accommodation was excellent. It is the perfect place to stay for all Optimed patients. The manager went out of his way to ensure post operative patients were cared for. The meals were great and the staff were professional and welcoming.
Even though the facility has been closed for a while, and just recently re-opened by Christo Wagenaar and his team a MUST. Originally a farmhouse in Queenswood, in the bowls of Pretoria. This Star4 B&B is a must for travelers local as well as international. So much to see, furniture from bygone eras, paintings from both local & international artists. Really a collection of collectibles to be seen admired and appreciated. Great breakfast as an added bonus completes the stay.
We spent a wonderful night at Whistletree Manor. Everything was perfect! The rooms and the whole of the Manor are filled with history. the staff are well trained, food was great and most of all a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. I highly recommend it to leisure and corporate travelers.
If you are looking for something differently compared to the standard Hotels, here you are at the right place. The House has a long history and each room tells a story. The rooms are very comfortable and the service is very friendly. You are not just a guest, you are treated as friend. If you have a wish, the manager Christo Wagenaar will make it happen.
