Several of our family from the Cape attended a family wedding in Pretoria and rented 4 apartments at the Regency. The apartments were very nice, clean & comfortable. The Staff members were very friendly especially the security. But unfortunately, there was a few issues especially with warm water and a few minor upkeep maintenances i.e., cupboard doors & drawers loose from hinges, holes in bedroom doors, cracked window etc. Since our arrival Thursday evening, the only time that we had warm water for shower was on Sunday morning. When we arrived Thursday afternoon there was a note in the elevator confirming that the water will be of on Thursday. We asked the agent that accompanied us to our apartments about the water issue and he confirmed that the water supply was on again. Unfortunately, it was only the cold water. Friday we still had no warm water and had to take freezing cold showers in the middle of winter. Saturday morning after several messages, some family members went down to reception to complain. Reception informed them that no one was available to look at the problem. One of our family members is a qualified electrical engineer. He offered to look at the problem. Accompanied by one of the staff members, he found that the warm water element for the apartments side of the building were turned off and that the warm water was only available to the hotel side.

Rapid response to service is extremely critical. It is important for management to have a strong client orientation and ensure a 24/7 internet access especially as both phone and internet are connected. A stronger client orientation and training of front line staff is needed

Great modern spot that’s close to all the worthwhile spots in pta. Food was amazing esp the burgers. Studio Rooms are a bit small but they are very comfy for those who aren’t spending a lot of time in the room. Everything is modern and clean

They offer standard (small) hotel rooms as well as one or two bedroom apartments. The apartments are large and spacious so I wasn’t too concerned about the “small” descriptor of the standard room.
I was a bit surprised by the incredulity of the front desk when my wife and I checked in and once we got to the room I understood why. When they say it is small they really mean it. I mean it is not close to anything I would normally associate with a hotel room in this price class.
From casual observation it is clear that these rooms are just the 2nd bedroom of a 2-bedroomed flat.
Unfortunately it seems that small room also mean small on service. Although we were 2 guests (and booked as such) you get one set of (small) towels only. Numerous requests to provide additional towels were just blatently ignored.
You do get the normal issue of complimentary soaps and shampoos but only once. So if your stay is longer than 1-night (as ours was) you have to make do.
Pretoria has so much more to offer in this price class so I would strongly recommend to steer clear of this one.

After being offered a room without a shower I started to explain why I can't use a bath. That is after the receptionsist said she couldn't guarantee anyting. She rudely interrupted me and shouted she's busy looking. From there it went downhill. Wifi has a funny setup that only works with a cable to router for your laptop. Reception is intermitant and poor. Few people care, smile or are really interested in running a hotel. I gave no feedback at tge end because I wasn't asked how my stay was. Predictably so.

Apartment 320C poorly maintained, TV cable not working and no WiFi even, when I checked in there was laundry in progress in the room the next morning when I went to shower there was hair all over the shower when I asked to change the room I was told to call housekeeping and was actually given a number to call! Unfortunately I have to stay the 5 nights I booked because otherwise I’ll forfeit my money. I am currently struggling with the door key and the caretaker told security he was having dinner? I’m cold and wet cause it’s raining I endured a lot I’m sorry but this is poor customer service, anyway I’m now forced to stay in because if I go out I’ll just lock myself out yet again!

I was dissappointed with the latest service i received. From poor reception service who promised to call back after my complaint but never did, to the level of inconsistency when i went to eat breakfast at your restaurant. One waiter said i must dish for myself the other one said i'm not allowed to dish for myself.

We booked via the airb&b in room 308 on the 28th of January 2021.The next morning we woke up in a pool of water, because there was a leak somewhere. They booked us into another room, only to find out the next morning, that the owner booked us a day too sort and didn't bother to mention it to us. So the room, now room 508, were booked for other guests and we were literally sitting in the passage with all our luggage. Two hours later we were booked into room 314.At exactly 3 the morning, while it was raining outside, we could hear two kids running in the passage, laughing and chasing each other. Then suddenly it was quiet and one of them started to cry very sadly. I JUMP out of bed cause I thought it was one of my three children crying, but they were sound asleep in the next room. At 4 the same exact thing happened. I than decided to go outside, but could only see the security guard by the pool area. He then thought that it was us making the noise. Luckily it was the last night that we had to stay there. I'm almost sure the place is haunted, because at no stage did the children's parents repremant them, and at that time of night...????

Mistakenly booked the wrong dates, tried to cancel less than 30min after making the booking and for some reason couldn’t. I had booked two rooms for the incorrect dates, tried to rectify, correct dates where not available so attempted to cancel. No response on my cancellation request, my money was never refunded.

I booked the room through Agoda. I tried to call the hotel to confirm my booking but none of their lines were working. When we arrived at the hotel we were told they are fully booked and couldn’t accommodate us. They told us it had happened the whole day but there was nothing they could do about it. They didn’t care that we had nowhere to stay at 8:30pm and that their phone lines were down. Stay away from this appalling “hotel”.
