It's good if you're looking for something affordable and the area is quiet and close to shopping centers and taxis. The rooms inside are clean but can do with a bit of renovations on the walls. Otherwise it's a good place to rest after a long day.

The service was not good at all. On arrival I was received by someone that seemed to be not sure of what he was supposed to do. After ultimately giving me the keys to the allocated room, and I asked him to accompany me, he appeared reluctant. He eventually accompanied me as I had to be helped to take in my luggage. Getting into the room, the bedding was totally out of sorts, the bathroom had a number of problems that I showed to him. The use oft the bathtub was actually one big health hazard as it had holes on both sides where sludges of dirt would get into the bathtub if water happened to get into them. The towel hanger was broken and hanging on the wall on one side with a single screw. I asked him to advise the property's management to attend to my on the next day while I would have been away at work. To my surprise when I came back in the evening:
1. The room was not cleaned
2. The bed was not made, hence the bedding issue was also not attended to as requested
3. The bathtub issue and the towel hanger issues were not attended to.

The manager of the property eventually came over to see me on Tuesday evening and apologised for the inconvenience caused and offered to get it all fixed on the following day, i.e on Wednesday.
To my surprise, none of the issues were attended to when I came back on Wednesday. Actually the whole situation remained as such for the whole week I was there until I left on Friday morning. To my surprise, no one in the property had the courtesy of saying anything about all even as I left despite that I was made to understang that the boss to the property's manager lives on one part of the property.
In fact these

The guesthouse looks very nice from the outside, it is located in Muckleneuk, very nice area, a 10 min drive to the city center. The people in charge were very friendly and willing to answer questions. However, the guesthouse is still under construction (May 2018) and there was a lot of noise up until 9pm. The rooms are also not worth the price (around R350-400/night). There is one double bed, the pillows are very hard (neck pain the next day guaranteed), the walls are extremely thin, so one can hear every single noise from the neighbors, the rooms get very humid after taking a shower in the attached bathroom. There is no space to move (which is why I was forced to stay away in the city for as long as possible). The WiFi does not work anywhere! The network is extremely bad, I was not even able to use my own mobile data!
All in all, I was very disappointed with my stay.

First of all, only cash is accepted. Who carries cash around when traveling? So, the room I had booked was given away and the receptionist took me there, only to find it already occupied.
I was then given a dirty room with no DSTV, No wifi and no desk. The toilet dood only opens half way, the bed linen was visibly dirty. The room had a strong cigarette stench. I asked tobe moved to another room and the very arrogant receptionist refused. The level of uncleanness made me cancel my breakfast, which I had already paid for. The bathroom was so dirty, I wish they could put cleaning materials in the rooms since the cleaning crew is unable to perform their duties.

Well I have to say I enjoyed the spacious sitting area next to the pool, also the pool itself was nice although it needs some Cleaning and a bit of maintenance because I saw some led lights hanging inside the pool, but I think it should be ok now. The bed was comfortable n everything was clean. The location is perfect 😎. In all honesty it's not the most elegant n fancy place though for the price all was good and it was worth it.

Do not know where to begin. This Guest House is a building site with permanent and construction workers as guests. Not recommendable at all.....!!!!!!
Disgusting, no reception, clothes and laundry hanging around pool. No access when outside have to phone or shout to gain access.

Though in a respectable suburb this Guesthouse has the look and feel of a brothel, the pictures on the website are a huge misrepresentation of the actual facility, the stafff are unprofessional and rude and run the place with a brothel mentality. I booked the facility with a group of 10, called three times to request a suitable meeting room for a strategic weekend retreat, was assured facilities will be made available, arrived late on friday evening to check in and the hotel manager was only hearing for the first time that I needed a meeting room. I left my team sitting in their balcony and hunted for suitable facilities and when I came back to fetch the team around 11pm, she held us hostage for close to 4 hours, insulted members of my team, did losts of body bashing with xenophofic rants, telling me several times to return to Congo ( where she assumed I was on) and how she had called immgigration police on us. Locked her gate and said we would not leave till we had paid for our stay. Even after the police's intervention she refused to let us go, till we paid full value for the first night and left her premises at past 2am to drive to the other facility I had booked. I just imagined myself a foreign tourist coming to South Africa for the first time and having to go through this kind of experience. I founded this facility through Bookings.Com, I reported the incident to them but they did nothing about it. No one should use such a respectable website and endup at such a low level hospitality facility. The rooms are horrible, cleanliness and maintenance sub-standard, the staff uncivilized, two of them actually attempted to physically assault me when I started taking pictures and videos of the incident as it transpired.. This has been my worst experience in booking accomodation and showing up to find a complete misrepresentation of what I booked and paid for

I have never seen such horrible service in my entire life! My partner and I checked in, first problem is that there was no speed point machine so we had to e-wallet the money. Nonetheless we decided to give it a shot. We got into our room and the electricity went off. Mind you, the street lamps were on and so were neighbouring buildings' lights. We went out for dinner in the hopes that we would find the lights back on, no such luck upon return. Instead we were initially told that no plan can be made for us as in terms of accomodation. My partner requested his refund, was told there's no refund then told we'd be taken to another branch. The "branch" we were taken to is in a dodgy part of town and IS A BOARDING SCHOOL! We were expected to sleep in a school hostel with all other guests! We requested our refund again and were refused this. We had to lose out on that money and go check in to a nearby hotel. Utterly disgusting treatment of guests, I would not recommend this place to anyone at all.

The place looks like it's under renovations. The beds springs are out. You can hear people from the other rooms. Toilet so close to the wall you have to sit on the side. No glasses/towels in the room I was in.

I booked the room for R405, when I go there I was told that the prices have gone up since it is valentine. How pathetic is that? I booked the accommodation way before valentine. False advertising., the website showed the R405 room big enough, when I get there I am told that the big ones are R550 and the small ones R450. So why advise R405 for big room on the website?
