We visited this beautiful establishment twice in the last 3 weeks.

First visit: 17th April 2021 for a private function, we held a 60th birthday party and we were hosted in the Summer Lounge. This room was lovely and absolutely beautifully decorated with a private on suite bathroom. We had the entire room to ourselves with our own personal waiter. The food was divine and no expense was spared by the chef who prepared our food with the utmost love and respect.

Second visit: 9 May 2021 for Mother's Day lunch and stay over. We had Mother's Day Lunch at the venue on Sunday. We had the 2 course meal which was divine. The staff were fast in taking the orders as the food is prepared to order meaning it is fresh and hot upon arrival at your table. The room was beautifully decorated and each lady received a complimentary glass of sparkling wine which was a lovely surprise.

After lunch we strolled through the immaculate and beautiful gardens, you almost forget you are in the city. The high walls keep out any outside noise which creates and absolute sense of peace and tranquility. We checked in to our rooms (room 4 and 5) which again were absolutely stunning. Each piece of décor is carefully selected to create a beautiful and relaxing environment. The beds are huge and super comfortable, the bathroom is almost as big as the room! You get complimentary robes and slippers inside each room, a Nespresso machine and capsules are also free of charge in your room. You also have the normal staples, kettle, coffee, tea and milk. There is a mini bar in each room stocked with the usuals.

Breakfast was divine and again we were hosted in a private room, the room was quiet and beautiful inside.

Without a doubt an amazing venue, the staff, the gardens, the food, the rooms ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING WAS PERFECTION.

If you want it done right, don't bother going anywhere else. They do it all and go the extra mile with all functions, parties and get togethers.

My son and daughter got married on Saturday, 26 September. From the moment we chose Ivory Manor we knew it was the right choice. The planning was an absolute pleasure, as they went out of their way to accommodate all our requests. The wedding celebration went without the smallest glitch, absolutely perfect from beginning to end. The venue offered exceptional options and possibilities, beautiful gardens, stylish interior and stunning rooms. The most exceptional of all were the staff with their manager Erik. Sam and his team were super professional and the kindness and hospitality of the staff were mentioned by every guest. Thank you for making my daughter's wedding the most memorable and special day forever!

This was a one night stay between two parts of our trip.

The hotel is situated in "leafy" part of Pretoria and the relatively small grounds have small green areas you can walk through and sit in. The grounds hold a number of birds for those who are interested.

On arrival we made very welcome at the reception which is not at the front on the hotel but to the right of the road entrance and in a bit.

Our room was a ground floor room which was near the road entrance although there were not noise issues with passing traffic. Some vehicles did enter but again this did not cause us a problem.

The room had all you could need with a separate bath and shower. The only very minor issue was there was nothing to hand towel on near the sinks.

Outside the front of the room there was a seating area which was shared with the next door room and whilst there was a sofa at either end there was only one table and two chairs. As it happened there was no one (that we noticed ) in the next door room.

Further in from the road entrance there is a courtyard with table and chairs. We went there and asked where the bar was, but this was closed due to a meeting. However we could sit in the courtyard and drinks were brought to us. Meals were also available here and it is lit up at night.

From our short stay it appeared the hotel was used for meetings, events etc and in the morning the car park filled up and they used the overflow grass car park as some event was taking place, not that this impacted on us at all.

We sat in the courtyard for evening drinks and then went for our meal. We where offered a choice of rooms?! Which turned out to be a choice of a room to ourselves off the courtyard. Very nice, great food and service.

Breakfast was at an open air area towards the back of the hotel up from the reception. A selection of cold item brought to you and then you can select from the menu for hot food.

The only issue was we asked for a second pot of tea and this was "not included" in the breakfast so we had to sign for it to be charged to us. However on paying the bill we pointed out we did not think this was remotely acceptable, were told we should not have been charged and it was removed from the bill. Putting right an issue when raised is all you can ask, so we quite happy with the response.

The staff were all attentive and helpful, we enjoyed our one night here. They also allowed us to keep the room until we were picked up mid-afternoon.

I hosted my partners surprise birthday in Jan, and the staff, decor, food was beyond my expectations. Piet went all out for me and my guest. I would come back at any given time. Also the reason i hosted the party there was because in November 2020 we had a baby Shower there and everything was just so beautiful and well organised. I have referred a couple of people to host at Ivory and they were all very happy. Recent one was a weekend ago, they hosted a 1st year party .

I had a birthday celebration planned for my sister on the 11th Dec and WOW!! I received great service from the very first meeting, Sam handled everything and made sure the celebration is the best, the guests cant stop talking about it. The hospitality, the delicious food, at times you find that most venues just provide standard food for high prices, Ivory Manor was different. The food was delicious and portions extremely generous with guests even requesting takeaways. I can say so much about the hotel, even the room we booked was so lovely with complimentary champagne and snacks provided for us that was a lovely surprise :-). The breakfast just as amazing. If you have an event and would like a place which will give you more than your moneys worth then come to Ivory Manor. You will not regret it! I will be coming back for future events. Thank you Sam and team for the remarkable service.

We visited with a 6 month old baby. The staff was kind enough to set our dinner table just outside our room so we could leave the baby sleeping in the room.

The food was amazing, the staff knows the menu as well as the wines, we were recommended the most delicious Merlot.

Well done Ivory! As always you show why this is definitely the best hotel to stay in!

The rooms were lovely, clean and felt very homely but luxurious. Breakfast was fantastic and the service was beyond exceptional. Never had such good service before. A dining room space was beautifully set up for us right outside our bedroom which was cosy and romantic since we were the only guests at that specific floor of 3 bedrooms. Only negative was that the gas fireplace by our dining table did not work and it was a cold night. It would have added a lot to the atmosphere and our date night.

A family celebration lunch, stay-over and breakfast was made even more special by the tranquil setting, excellent food and attentive staff at Ivory Manor. Rooms are large and spotlessly clean and the gardens are exceptionally well kept. Highly recommended!
