We wanted to be central, my family were visiting from the UK so I booked my whole family in here. What a shock. When we arrived we found the place filthy inside and out at the pool with sand and leaves everywhere (like it had been abandoned). This is not a guest house - these are rooms stuck onto the back of an old dilapidated house like Lego bricks. You have to walk through the kitchen to get into the back rooms. It's like attached lego bricks suitable for students. One of the rooms was a converted maids quarter. Stains on the linen and dirty smears on walls - I can go on and on. I called Travelstart 9 times before I got through to cancel. No help in finding an alternative on a public holiday and it took 2 weeks to get my money back. RUN!
This little B&B was perfect for our stay in Cape Town. Host Pedro was helpful & informative and presented a grest breakfast. There was secure off-street parking and the location was very convenient. Thanks to Jacqui for letting me have my dog with me!
Excellent location. The hosts were very accomodating. The WiFi was fast as they have fibre. Very safe area for taking walks. The conversations with Pedro is priceless - he is a man that has lived life and I was very excited to hear his stories.
I stayed in Jaqui's guesthouse in January 2019. It is a very comfortable and quiet place. Very conveniently located even if you do not have a car. Good restaurants are walking distance and even the beautiful Kirstenbosch botanical gardens are half an hour away along the river. The hosts arranged for a cab to take me around during my stay and I had a wonderful time. I recommend the delicious breakfasts and the secure and quiet guesthouse to everyone.
Jaqui's Garden Guesthouse provides a very affordable option for those attending congresses st the adjoining Vineyard Hotel, literally a mere stone's throw away. Accommodation was comfortable, staff very friendly and breakfast prepared by Pedro was exceptionally good!
Jaqui and her husband are very friendly hosts for their homely B&B and serve a very nice breakfast. The limited and very narrow parking space makes it a challenge to park a big vehicle inside the premises. The room was comfortable and neat.
Very convenient location for me and such friendly hosts - thank-you. Rooms are tucked away at the back but suited my purposes completely - a warm, clean and tidy place to stopover one block away from my training venue. Felt like home away from home.
Very convenient location and away from traffic congestion. Good value for money given the location. Safe environment for walking. Street parking can be a challenge. Vineyard Hotel across the road has magnificent restaurants.
Thank you Pedro and Jaqui for a warm welcome when we arrived. Indeed a lovely establishment and very centrally situated. Enjoyed the breakfast. Thank you for clean bathrooms, room and living area. I found your book collections to be great too!!. Value for money indeed.
A welcoming and knowledgeable host who gave information regarding the safety of the area, parking and amenities. Close to restaurants and shopping mall. Accommodation was clean and in good condition. Nice touches, fridge in room and fresh milk for tea and coffee.Breakfast cooked to order with a good choice of options. Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting to stay in the area.
