I had a wonderful stay at The Newlands Southern Sun Hotel. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the great mountain views added to the overall experience. The staff, particularly Hazel, were extremely friendly and attentive, making the stay even more enjoyable. The hotel's cleanliness and comfort were remarkable, and having the convenience of two on-site restaurants was a definite plus. I'm already looking forward to coming back for another stay. Great experience and breakfast spread. Absolutely spoilt for choice! I recommend the pancake machine. Definitely need to find out where to get 1. Rooms are immaculate. Bathrooms refreshed daily. Use of the pool table really keeps the boring nights at bay (disclosure) my stay was during the taxi strikes and everything was closed. Amazing the hotel managed to keep everything in stock while shops were running out of stock. Hardly noticed there was an issue.

Nice hotel at a very reasonable price. My room was on the 6th floor and had views of the mountains. There is a hairdryer in the room as well as tea and coffee facilities. Room is a good size and bed is comfortable. Breakfast is great, lots of variety, fruit, cereals, bacon and eggs, hash browns, pancakes or local traditional breakfast. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful, especially Hazel and Shereen. Would recommend for a venue outside the city centre, easy to get around, there is a shopping mall approximately 3 blocks away.

We were in for one night only, choosing to overnight in Cape Town, having flown in late and planning to leave early for the Cederberg. Unbelievably, for an "international" airport, there is nothing in close proximity, and the logical thing to do- head off to the N1 or along the N2- is not something I'd risk late at night. So, off to Newlands we went. The hotel is fine. Big rooms, comfortable beds, decent bathrooms and clean. The breakfast was better than average. Staff were helpful and friendly. It served its purpose admirably, and we departed well rested and well fed.

I stayed at the Southern Sun for four weeks between June/July. The Hotel has a welcoming atmosphere. The location of the hotel is great. the staff I encountered throughout the hotel were very professional, friendly, extremely helpful and accommodating. What a wonderful experience we had at this hotel!!! I can’t recommend it highly enough, excellent service, staff that go above and beyond and always greeting you with a smile and a friendly hello. We stayed for 2.5 weeks with our little one and it started to feel like home, beds and sheets clean, breakfasts are amazing but you cant beat the South African hospitality and extra TLC. Will definitely be going back on our next trip and highly recommend it. Thank you everyone at Southern Sun Newlands, we miss you already!

This s the best stay I have ever had. ALL the staff here are the most amazing people. They are so friendly , they make you feel right at home. They go out of their to help no matter what. We are treated like part if the family which is awesome. While I have been here (a month today) I cant think of anything bad that has happened so I dont have anything bad to say only good. I would like to compliment ALL the staff here at Newlands on the jobs they do so well. They are so professional.. I have loved being here. Would recommend it to anyone.
