Good: The staff were extremely helpful and helped us wherever they could. BAD: The location is not easy for elderly guests due to the steep terrain. The toilet cistern in our small shower room did not work properly for all the 5 days. The linen was threadbare on the bed. Loadshedding is only catered for with rechargeable bedside globes. TV is only Netflix's. The cupboard door had a loose hinge. The bins were not emptied for the duration of our stay.

Business requires me to travel across the country pretty often .A home away from home style accommodation is how I would best describe Panorama Guest house . An all round comfortable stay and a good night's rest .

As a couple, we stayed at the Panorama Guest House for two nights. We both agree that the stay was one of the most memorable highlights of our three week visit to South Africa. The guest house is situated in a very nice neibourhood on the eastern slope of the Table Mountain, offering the guests the most commented stunning panorama view of the city and mountains beyond. The night view of the city was spectacular and watching sunrise in the horizon, sipping coffee on the balcony in early morning when all was quiet was a rare moment in life. We stayed in the double room with a balcony, a kitchen and a private bathroom. We loved the room. It is very spacious and well maintained. The bathroom is very new and clean, with a bathtub and a large separate shower. The hosts were all very friendly and attentive to our needs. The breakfast was typical SA, with egg, fruit salad, bacon and sausages, toasts, juice and coffee, freshly prepared and deliciously done. Guests can choose to have the breakfast in the large and very bright dinning room or out on the large patio by the pool, while enjoying the morning sun and panoramic view. We found that the location of the guest house is very convenient for guests with a car. It has easy access to M3, which leads to the airport or to the Cape of Good Hope. We parked our car outside the guest house, and it seemed to be very safe. The guest house is close to a large shopping multi-story shopping center and is neighbouring the famous Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden, one of the largest in the world. The guest house has a direct access to the trails in the forest, great for having a jog in the morning while admiring some very impressive tree species. We want to thank Herman and his colleagues for making our stay at the guest house such a memorable experience. Highly recommend it to others and will definitely stay here again next time we visit Cape Town. Michael and Audrey, from Canada, March 2023

It's not called the Panorama Guest House for nothing - the views over Cape Town and the Hottentots Holland mountains in the background are stunning! In addition, our room was spacious and the location convenient for getting into town, going to the beaches and visiting Kirstenbosch (an essential part of any trip to Cape Town). The staff were excellent - extremely accommodating and friendly and they made us feel at home. The guesthouse has a very relaxed feel with plenty of space to relax and unwind at the end of the day. An added bonus is that there is easy access to Newlands Forest through a back gate. We went for an early morning walk with one of the staff members and it was one of the highlights of our trip.

Thank you very much, our stay was very enjoyable. The TV didn't work, but that was fine because we went to bed early since the Argus Cycle race was the next morning and my husband was going to take part.

Very peaceful place, perfect room and comfortable bed, and most of all we liked the very friendly staff who made this stay even better! Too bad we only stayed here for 1 night as a first stop on our way to the garden route.

A really enjoyable stay. Comfortable room with fantastic view, enjoyed the pool, excellent breakfasts, flexible arrangements, lots of useful advice. I particularly enjoyed the 3 hour hike in Newlands Forest just out of the back gate, with Hermann -- these are beautiful forests with many open areas with views, and wonderful vegetation.

Used this lovely friendly place on a business trip. Wonderfully helpful and friendly staff, location was idyllic so a real shame we were not on vacation to enjoy the east access to the national park just behind the accommodation. For sure when we are back in Cape Town this will be on our places to stay.

Great hospitality, warm welcome and called several times to check at what will we arrive at and also accommodated us even though we were late. They advised on which places to go and also to check on the weather as well as best restaurants around.
