Every time I travel to CPT for business I choose to stay at Lavender House. Brenda is friendliest host I have ever had the experience of dealing with and the rooms are stunning. Nothing better after a long day than getting into those fluffy blankets. My favorite home away from home!!

We were here on business and had 4 rooms during the winter season. Brenda was lovely and welcomed us into her home. Our rooms were clean and welcoming. Small desks as well as plenty of room to unpack. Space or wall heaters in each room and when requested a heating blanket and extra blankets were provided. Laundry was done for a small fee, just be aware it is dried on a line (which I ♥️'d) so some items may take longer to dry. Breakfast included beverages as well as a granola/yogurt buffet followed by custom eggs, bacon, toast, tomatoes and mushrooms. It was just lovely and Brenda was able to accommodate or differing breakfast times. She also provided muffins and on the go breakfast items for us one morning very early. Neighborhood is safe and conveniently located! Some members of our group went for runs at the nearby park, we could also walk to several areas with shops and dining. We easily took public transportation to Table Mountain, the waterfront, and wineries. Brenda was fabulous in providing us with contacts and suggestions. Cape Town is chilly during the winter months, almost all buildings use space or wall heaters and everyone leaves the doors open in common spaces, so just pack an extra sweater and socks! WiFi was only really good in the common areas which made it a bit difficult to work in our rooms. Rusty is a lovely dog on the premises, just good to know! We didn't have any problems with noise in the dining area but we were up early! We would highly recommend Lavender House!

A lovely quiet venue with great breakfast and a warm welcome. I arrived late but Brenda graciously had left lights on and the room prepared and ready for me. I can heartily recommend this as a stopover for business people with meetings in the area, with a spacious room, generous breakfast and easy access to the newlands and claremont area. thank you for a great stay

Lavender House continues to be the most hospitable, warm and friendly B&B I have yet to stay at anywhere in South Africa. Thank you to Brenda and her amazing staff who ensure your stay is comfortable. The accommodation is so clean and tastefully furnished and nothing is too much trouble for Brenda and her staff. Thank you for making my Mum's 80th birthday celebrations special as well as my sister's stay (visiting from New Zealand) a memorable one!

A fabulous place with fantastic host. Great hospitality. Lovely dog. Close to airport and city. We stayed a week and had a great time. Easy to get in and out of the city for day trips to the various great locations around Cape Town.

This was the fourth time I had stayed at Lavender House, but my first review. Well situated in the southern suburb of Rondebosch, within 5 mins walk of Newlands stadium, Lavender House is perfectly located to explore the many sights of the Cape Town area and Peninsula. But what really makes the place is the wonderful Brenda and her team - for them nothing is too much trouble - it really is the most fabulous place to stay and would highly recommend anyone to stay there in future!

We have stayed at Lavender House three times and can highly recommend it. Brenda, the owner is a gracious, kind and helpful hostess. We have had the Vanilla Room once and the Jasmine Room twice. Both are a good size and tastefully furnished with good quality bed linen and bath towels. We have not stayed in the Bergamot Room but it is a lovely room which looks onto the garden. The Vanilla and the Bergamot have baths and walk in showers. All other rooms have walk in showers only. There are small fridges in the bedrooms and tea/coffee making facilities. Guests have the use of a nice lounge area and access to the main kitchen with a large 'guest fridge' and microwave. There is free wifi in all roons. Breakfasts are good, fresh fruit salad, yogurt and freshly cooked breakfast to order. A laundry service is available at very reasonable cost per load. Lovely cheerful Margaret provides this service returning the laundry all beautifully ironed. Secure parking available but sometimes a bit of moving cars around may be necessary but does not really present a problem. Although located at Newlands it is an ideal location for visits to Cape Town itself, the Winelands and the coast road to Cape of Good Hope.

I loved staying at Lavender House; my room was huge! (I expected a shoe box for a B&B) And the walk in shower was a luxury I was not expecting. Free WiFi and basic amenities were included (kettle, fridge, hairdryer, what more could you ask for?!) Brenda was a wonderful host who made sure I was comfortable and well fed at breakfast. Although I had someone showing me around for the weekend, the B&B is within easy reach of some of Cape Town's most beautiful attractions. I would stay here again 5*.
