My wife and I stayed at Wild Olive for one night to visit Newlands Cricket ground which is literally 5 mins walk away. So perfectly located for us but would need a taxi to get into the centre of the city. The Guest House was beautiful with a pool and shaded garden. Immaculate throughout our room had extra thoughtful touches like chocolates and a small carafe of port. Very comfortable bed. Lovely breakfast. We wished we had stayed longer and will definitely rebook when we next visit Newlands.

This is the second time we have stayed here and I would highly recommend it. The service is excellent and the staff can not do enough for you. It’s also excellent value we stayed in another guest house at about the same cost but only got a room half the size and no bar. If your heading for Cape Town head here !

What a superb start to the new year and new decade! I travelled mainly to watch England play test cricket against South Africa . . . therefore the location of The Wild Olive Guest House was perfect for nearby Newlands Cricket Ground (10 minutes walk).
Splendid breakfast to start the day, brilliant staff to answer any queries promptly. Well kept area around the swimming pool to relax with a cooling drink (available from the Honesty Bar in the lounge).
Overall a marvellous value for money holiday in relaxing surroundings.
I will certainly return there without a second thought.

We stayed for 2 weeks at Wild Olive and wanted to stay for longer. The facilities were clean and comfortable, staff were professional and friendly and we felt very safe and welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed waking up to the beautiful fresh breakfasts (plenty of vegetarian options) and relaxing of an afternoon in the beautifully kept gardens. We will definitely stay there again.

We were a group of 3 staying in our own rooms. The receptionist followed all the Covid19 rules and asked us for our breakfast orders which has a huge selection.
The room was clean and we arrived on one of Cape Town's coldest days and so it was good having a heater aircon with an electric blanket.
Will definitely recommend.

The room was clean and comfortable and the staff were so kind. We needed to leave one day earlier and we were not charged for our last minute cancellation, because the staff put the room's availability back up on the website. We so appreciated this.

My husband and I stayed in the Garden Cottage for the first time in 2010 and were once again able to spend four nights there in September.
The cottage was immaculately clean with all the necessary appliances and crockery for a self catering stay. A wall heater and electric heater, plus electric under blankets kept us very warm during a spell of winter weather.
The cottage is spacious with a king size bed, plenty of cupboard space and a very nice bathroom, plus DSTV in the sitting room area.
Eugene and his wife, together with Tino were very helpful and friendly.
We would definitely return.

A lovely guesthouse. The Wild Olive is always welcoming and the staff are happy to go the extra mile to make sure that your needs are met. We spent time by the swimming pool and enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the garden. Breakfasts are also good.
