WE stayed for two nights with Inri at Riversong last week. Aaron was quick to answer the front door on arrival after dark and very quickly showed us into our very very spacious room, kitchenette and bathroom. He showed us how everything worked, so we were au Fait with the workings of the suite. Lots of cupboard space to store your belongings. Carpets on the tiled floors to keep our feet warm. A lovely desk to work at. Wi-fi worked very well. Bathroom spotless with all amenities required. Shower over the bath. Beautiful curtaining to keep light and cold out. Very quiet even though we were so close to everything/main roads to get around. Large king size bed with super quality linen. Wonderful covid proceedures, music permanently on in reception area - very soothing. WE felt at home. Thank you very much.

My friend and I stayed for 7 nights at the Riversong Guest House. It was a wonderful stay. Our hostess, Inri was amazing. She made sure we had everything we needed. A very nice breakfast was included each morning. Fresh fruit, juice, coffee and your choice of hot breakfast (eggs/omelets/toast, etc.). The room was super comfortable (we stayed in the Leopard Room) which included two double beds and a nice couch/lounge area. Our room opened up to the pool area. A stunning view of the mountain was also outside our door!! It was so beautiful. Additionally, Inri arranged tours for us everyday we were there. We saw so much! It was amazing! She can accommodate whatever you are interested in seeing. We spend a lot of time touring the coast and also the wine farms. So much to see and do in Cape Town! Inri is a local life time resident and really knows all the good spots! We really loved staying at her Guest House.

We had a great stay at the 4-star luxury Riversong boutique guest house. It sits on the banks of Liesbeek River and affords wonderful views of Table Mountain. A great location close to the village, Newlands Cricket and Rugby Grounds, Cavendish Square Mall. the Vineyard Hotel and other great restaurants and bars, including the famous “Forries”.
We were stuck by the warm and friendly hosts who were very accommodating. Aaron was an excellent host who warmly greeted us and ensured that we had everything we needed. Even though we had not preordered a vegan breakfast, Inri, the owner, went out of her way to ensure we were not disappointed by providing a scrumptious and healthy meal.
The rooms were large and beautifully appointed designed. The in-room communication material was comprehensive material left nothing to chance. You will not be disappointed!

Service excellence! They mean it when they say that they will do their best to make sure guests have everything they need. Beautifully decorated spacious suites await where guests are treated to the best in comfort and cleanliness. The food is tastefully prepared by Chef Aaron and the team. Breakfast was ample and tasty, made to my liking and standards.

This leafy part of Cape Town is a pleasant place to base yourselves whether you are going to the cricket nearby or want to explore the city and the Western Cape. B&Bs are a good choice and Riversong is up there with the best. We had a garden room which was spacious and well-appointed. The public rooms are delightful and the ambience charming and relaxed. The staff were helpful at all times and we wanted for nothing. There is very good and secure on site garaging if you have a car. The breakfasts were very English and satisfactory. Coffee was a bit hit and miss - sometimes proper freshly brewed sometimes instant. Maybe the machine was playing up !
Within a short walk there are some good restaurants and shops. Newlands station is also close by. In short this is a pleasant, convenient and friendly place to stay.

We booked three rooms, which were all very comfortable and well equipped. It was a return visit for me and it is always nice when the staff remember you and greet you by name! Breakfasts are delicious and cooked to order. Riversong is very conveniently located in a quiet part of Newlands but in walking distance to some great restaurants.

Our family of four stayed here for three nights before heading to Stellenbosch for a few nights.
The guest house is exactly as pictured. The staff were all very polite and helpful. Recommending restaurants and ensuring we were enjoying our stay. We didn’t experience any load shedding while we were there, but they also have solar power. The location was convenient to walk to restaurants, coffee shops, and even a laundromat. Though they can do your laundry at the guest house too.
We took Ubers to go to Bo Kaap and the V&A and hired a driver to take us on a peninsula tour. Upon recommendation from Inri, we rented a car through Vineyard Car and used Escape to the Cape for our peninsula tour. Both were wonderful and we’d recommend.
The breakfast included each morning was filling, fresh fruit to start, always very nicely plated. The first day we realized it was a lot of food, so we adjusted the next few days to request only items we would eat (just eggs, no sausage, no bacon, no tomato, etc). It was all good, but so much food!
The property is very cute. The patio area is beautiful and there is a small dipping pool, but I’m not sure anyone uses it. There is a sitting room upstairs where we played cards and read. There is also a roof top deck you can go up and see the views from atop.

I have really enjoyed staying at “Riversong” for years, usually just for a few nights. I returned time and time again because it is welcoming, friendly, efficient and clean.
This time I booked for the whole of February and my “home” was the “River Suite” overlooking the trees, lawn and swimming pool, - really an oasis!
It is very conveniently located, and I like having garage parking. Nothing is too much trouble for Inri (Owner) and her Team…. (The Breakfasts are top class!)
There is 24/7 Security, and as a Single Lady, I particularly appreciate having no safety concerns.

Inri and staff have created a home away from home. Time spent with them leaves one feeling comfortable and cared about. We were greeted with warm smiles and a wonderful breakfast each morning, followed by a helpful suggestion for the day's activity or dinner that evening. She was also able to book a private car and driver at the last minute, which saved what would have been a mediocre visit to Cape Town. Service above and beyond. Beautiful property in a very safe neighborhood, and within walking distance of great shops.
