Soekie has spent 15 years hosting people. We stayed 5 years ago as well with GAdventures. She helped organize outings and transportation with delightful folks. She is cheerful. Her hospitality is a joy. Her beds are comfy! We have enjoyed all our overnight stays here.

My daughter and I stayed here two nights while waiting to join our G Adventures tour of Kruger and Victoria Falls. The place is literally a home away from home and Suki is an incredible host. She arranged a tour for us on our first day and arranged a driver for us on our second day. The food and conversation were amazing and the accommodations were first rate. Would totally recommend this guest house to anyone and everyone. One of my best stays ever.

Room Tip: Prearrange for a transport from the airport…peace of mind and Ubers can be a bit unreliable.

Soekie was the best hostess ever! She made an excellent stay even more stellar! We LOVED Soekie! Now that that's out of the way, besides the hospitality, the whole compound is luxurious. The ground are filled with gorgeous animals, the common area is big and super nice. The rooms are very clean and gorg! There was wifi, two pillows per bed, laundry service, and pretty much anything you'd need, even a bar! The food was amazing! We had a braii one night, Soekie even brought our her beetroot salad one night - by request. The breakfasts were rusks, juice, bacon, and more than enough to satisfy. These guys really know how to host people and you can tell Soekie has a really caring heart. Loved loved loved loved Malikana!

Malikana Guesthouse was an amazing experience. A literal oasis a few kilometers away from the Johannesburg airport, Suki and Ben were so gracious in hosting our G adventure tour there. The accommodations were amazing as the site houses private lodging, pool, bar access and amazing food for every dietary restriction. Highly recommend!

This is such a warm and lovely guesthouse to stay in. Suki is an excellent host and I felt like I was staying with family. The rooms are cold, but there are electric blankets and great hot showers to warm you up. It’s an easy uber ride from a large mall, lots of restaurants although Suki & Ben are fantastic cooks so have at least one dinner home with them. Many businesses that rely on tourism hurt quite a but during COVID, now is the time to come visit - you’ll feel the gratitude and love while you travel - at Suki’s and beyond. ❤️

This is a fantastic place for our stop over on our G Adventures tour. The accommodation is excellent and you won’t get a better host in Suki she is very helpful. The food was first class and I can highly recommend the Lion Beer. We also stayed a couple of days extra at the end of our trip but we’re really confined to the grounds or take a taxi tour due to the location but as a stopover you won’t find anything better.

Staying here felt like being at a family member's house. The accommodations were good but the best part was the meals. Having a home cooked meal when traveling for weeks was much welcomed. Plus Sukie even shared a recipe with us!

Staying at the Malikana is like visiting your long-lost aunt and uncle in South Africa. Suki, Chris and Ben treat guests like family and are eager to answer questions and describe South African living. (Ask about all those mounted animal heads and learn why you won't be eating game at the braii.) The guest rooms are located in what was once the house, and each appears different -- our friends had the remnants of a little kitchen and fridge. There's a little bar where you can order a cooling beer or other drink and breakfasts are served in the common dining room. Our room was very chilly in winter (August), but a portable heater helped. We also were there with G Adventures at both the beginning and end of safari. Your wildlife viewing may continue if, with luck, you see the springbok springing in the property's front enclosure.

We were welcomed by Sukei and her husband. We stayed in the guest house at the beginning of our vacation and at the end. The meals were incredible and Sukei went over and beyond our expectations. The guest house was very tidy and clean and inviting. I would Highly recommend this location.

Sukei and her entire family (Chris and Ben) were so very welcoming and have the gift of hospitality to be sure. We were traveling with G Adventures and spent 2 lovely nights there enjoying a Brie (BBQ) and traditional African meals. Hats off to the Lewis family for creating a wonderful experience for our group.
