We expected the usual Airporthotel indifference - what a surprise: The meet&greet very professional. The check-in unbelievably friendly - made us feel very welcome. The staff always helpful and friendly with a smile. And we believe it is safe to say that this is actually the cleanest hofel we've ever stayed in! The only downside: The pillow was awfully uncomfortable. There's only one chair and small table in the room which made it difficult to handle roomservice (the restaurant -we were told- was booked up til late. We'll sure choose this hotel for any other layover at OR Tambo again!

Very lovely hotel, adjacent to the airport. Arrived early in the morning, greeted and registered and off to our rooms quickly. Wonderful breakfast in a pleasant dining room. Perfect when flying in and out quickly. Very nice spa with warm indoor pool. Guys enjoyed the gym.

This hotel was perfect for our overnight stay - it is conveniently located next to OR Tambo airport, accessible through a walkway from the main terminal. Easy check-in, nice room although dimly lit, with all ammenities expected for this type of property - Nespresso-type machine, turn-down service, comfortable bed, no airport noise. There is a nice restaurant on-site but we didn't try it, as we had bought some food items at the Woolworth's store inside the airport. The next morning we were picked up directly at the lobby for our flight to Mala Mala Game Reserve (outstanding!). Highly recommended for stays near Joburg airport.

I could not agree with you more on the convenience of our location being directly across the street from the International terminal building, making it a quick walk to get to the hotel, no need for shuttle busses or taxi's. Thank you for your feedback with regards to the lights in the room, they do work on a dimmer system and can be adjusted to a brighter level should you wish to have brighter lighting in the room. I look forward to welcoming you back to our lovely hotel in the near future again as you sure missed out on a lovely meal at our Quills restaurant. We spent a night there during a layover. The hotel is literally next to the terminal, very easy to reach with a baggage trolley. You cannot hear the airport noise at all in the cosy and spacious rooms. We liked the breakfast a lot, fresh juices, nice warm dishes, and a wide selection of fruit and other items. Dinner was good as well, and ok in terms of cost. Just the spa is nothing to write home about, the pool is right at the elevator and the steam room is a small thing in the changing rooms.

Yes this was a very convenient hotel, close to the airport but do not eat there. They were not accepting substitutions at all! My steak was very chewy and cold. The staff was very kind and the rooms were very nice. I would stay here again, I just wouldn’t recommend eating here.

This hotel was a life-saver after an 18-hour flight from the United States. It's literally a safe and garden-filled 5-minute walk from the international terminal at the Johannesburg airport. The rooms were very comfortable and well appointed...and surprisingly quiet. The hotel is bustling with tons of international travelers. Check-in was prompt although the woman at the front desk took our credit card, returned it but forgot to run it for incidentals. It caused a bit of a problem when we ordered room service - more so on the butler's end. The breakfast buffet was plentiful - tons of cold and not options. There was a bit of a back-up at check-out, but they promptly brought in more front-desk staff to handle everything. After that, it was just another 5-minute walk to get to our domestic flight departure desk. …

After 22 hours of flying we overnighted here upon landing. It is located across the street from the International terminal and a very short walk. It’s a beautiful hotel with an excellent staff. Beds are super comfortable and in the morning it takes 5 minutes to walk to your terminal. Wonderful coffee makers in the room and excellent restaurant for breakfast!

We stayed for one night at this lovely property, before leaving for a weeklong stay at a safari lodge. Access from O.R. Tambo airport was a very short and secure walk. The accommodations, cleanliness, and customer service at the hotel were outstanding. All staff went above and beyond to be welcoming and efficient. Breakfast and dinner at the hotel restaurant were delicious and very reasonably priced. Restaurant service was wonderful. I highly recommend this property for an airport stay.

Literally a two minute walk from reception to the Airport terminal . That’s why we booked . But it’s actually a good hotel with nice facilities. We felt the restaurant was a little below standard for an intercontinental but it was having a major refurb and it was due open a couple of days after we left.

I booked two nights in Intercontinental Johannesburg with my IHG App and paid with my credit card. Check inn procedure very long. No upgrade for Diamond member. Breakfast only for one guest and you have to ask. In the restaurant they want you sign for another breakfast invoice. For dayroom 12 hour stay total you have to book two nights. Ridiculous! Manager stays beside and laughing! No menu in the room. They said the QR code for the menu is in the welcome letter, but welcome letter never received! Check out procedure needs again 30 minutes. Room service not transferred to the room account, waiting again to check out. Finally the nights and the points 500 USD for 12 hours not counting on the IHG account, because „unqualified night“ Attention, don’t use this hotel! This hotel try to cheating all the time from the check inn until check out. I paid for 12 hours stay two complete nights! No upgrade! No breakfast voucher for 2 persons, only one, but booked for two! No menu in the room! The invoice not settled on checkout! Have to wait 30 minutes! …
