What a great hotel! We stayed here for 2 nights. One before our Safari and the 2nd one after our Safari. It is close to the airport and super secure. The owner is very friendly and enjoys chatting with us. The rest of the staff is also amazingly kind, and the food is superb! Delicious traditional meals. The wifi is very good and reaches the bedrooms as well, which will be different during your Safari. You also won't have to worry about power outages because they turn on the generators. Great experience and until next time!

We stayed overnight to catch an early flight from JNB airport. Hosts and staff were very warm and friendly. The gardens were phenomenal with a beautiful small pool which the kids loved. Dinner tasted like good home made food. The rooms were spacious and very clean, the interiors were not modern, more on the characterful side. All round a great experience

I had a fantastic experience at this accommodation. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and the service was friendly. The beautiful surroundings added to the overall charm. Convenient location to OR Tambo, and the airport transfer service was excellent. We enjoyed a relaxing dinner in the garden, and they went the extra mile by making a special pizza for our 5-year-old. Breakfast was nice too. Highly recommend for a pleasant stay.

Our stay at the Safari Club was excellent. We stayed on the way to and from the airport. Our drivers were easy to find, they even called a second driver to take us to the hotel when the other passenger from another flight was slower arriving. The woman at reception, the wait staff, and the housekeeping staff are friendly and helpful. Both our dinners were superb, home cooked meals. The room was large for the three of us and very clean. Airport noise is minimal at night and not bad during the day when we had a few hours to sit outside. The grounds are well manicured and inviting. We were allowed to store some luggage while we traveled and given a late check out on our last day so we could shower and change clothes after sight seeing and before going to the airport. We would definitely stay again

This is a really nice, inexpensive, hotel, close to Johannesburg Airport. The value for money is fantastic We were efficiently picked up from the airport, and delivered back there the next day. This service is free, and you just arrange it with the hotel Evening meal is a fixed price, no choice affair. But again good value for money We enjoyed the breakfast too. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable I would not hesitate to stay here again if passing through the airport

I've stayed here many times over the years and is my go-to lodging when I pass through OR Tambo. It's a true little slice of heaven just 10 minutes from the airport. Very spacious garden rooms, bar, small restaurant and pool. It is a very quiet spot to relax and unwind after a long flight. They offer free airport pickups and dropoffs as well. They also offer safaris and day trips to surrounding areas. Kudos to Alistair and his team!! They do a magnificent job to make you feel welcome and at home.

This was the perfect spot to stay to rest before the start of our african travels. it was conveniently located very close to the J'burg airport. The best part about this place was the employees and owners. everyone was extremely friendly and helpful! the kitties that roamed the property were also lovely to have around and i was pleased to find out the owner of the property took good care of these ex feral kitties. they also went out of their way to make us a delicious vegan dinner and breakfast which was excellent.

We stayed here to rest up after a 24 hr travel journey and before a cycling adventure. The staff was so welcoming and accommodating. We had arranged with the club for a pick up at the airport and the pleasant driver was present with a name placard. We had our evening meal waiting for us. The grounds are lovely, lots of lounge chairs around bird filled gardens, a pool(too chilly for us), we had refreshments by a patio bar, and unobtrusive staff were visible throughout the day. My husband opted to run outside the gated grounds and Alistair and his assistant advised the safest route for running. This property abuts an industrial area that is heavily secured and monitored. Runner reported feeling safe. Alistair had recommendations on safety and driving in SA. The breakfast was plentiful. It is close to the airport but plane noise was not noted to be a disturbance. Safari Club is eager for their guests to feel welcome, kudos to the team .

The place is not clean. Their food a horrible they cook one thing Monday to Friday. Butternut. I had to take out my money and go buy food. I couldn’t sleep there’s gunshots every night. There’s no soft drinks there’s tv where you can watch news.

Thank you for taking the time to post your complaints. I would like to reply to your comments Our hotel rooms are built around the trees and foliage in our property to create the feeling of being in a small Oasis and at this time of year (start of Summer) Johannesburg experiences very dry and windy conditions, before our summer rains this causes a lot of leaves and dry twigs to land up all over the property which can look messy. We do clean up every day however often the dust will blow into the rooms and often settles on the tables. We have put a second inspection in to check rooms again before guests arrive to avoid this. I cannot comment about gunshots every night because non of our staff or myself have ever heard them and we all stay on the property ( possible fireworks were heard) as you stayed near Guy Fawkes and people still insist on letting of Fire Cracker's to celebrate even although they are actually banned in South Africa Being a Safari Destination Hotel we provide a different three course meal every nights as this is what most of our guests have suggested over the years and enjoyed (They want to experience local South African Cuisine) we would certainly not supply butternut soup every night . This is borne out by the many guests comments on this platform raving about our tasty dishes. Our dinners consist of a Salad or Soup Starter followed by a main South African Dish (Potjie, Bobotie or even a Braai/Barbeque) and a dessert. We know this is not for everyone but the majority of guests enjoy the format we serve. I am surprised you say there was no TV stations (we have 28 channels) and no soft drinks as I see you had purchased Ginger ale on your account from our fully stocked soft drink bar I am sorry our property does not appear to be an option for you Regards Al & Jose
