Disliked · For 800 Rands per a night we was disgusted at the "service" that we received.

1) We were rushed to get to the establishment by the owners.
2) We were informed by the establishment Manager/Owner that he didn't know of the booking
3) We did not receive keys when we checked in, instead we were let in and gates closed behind us.
4) We were shown to the room which was very sub-standard, one large open plan area.
5) The door to the room had no handle on the inside to close it, and we had to leave it open the whole night.
6) There was a tv on SABC 2 (with horrible reception) and a remote laying next to it, however the remote had only one out of the two batteries required for it to work which rendered it useless. Further to our astonishment only 1 other public tv station was available.
7) The manager/owner requested for a payment which we proceeded to do an EFT transfer into his account infront of him & verifying all details along the way until the payment was completed.
8) The open planned room had 2 beds, 2 noisy empty fridges, 1 glass, plate, and some cutlery in the dish dryer on the sink, hardly hygienic & clean to use.
9) For the 3 of us staying there, we were only provided with 1 towel to share between us, literally not even an additional face cloth.
10) The toilet leaked when flushed.
11) The two beside lights did not work, one was builbless and not plugged in & the other one just didn't work. The ceiling lights flickered. Not easy on the eyes....
12) The alarm for the electric fence was going off constantly beeping the whole night.
13) There was no amenities provided during our stay, no coffee/tea, no bottled water, no soap or hand wash, or anything else, NOTHING.
14) There was apparently no WiFi because the owner/manager said that the internet was off (however) we could clearly see the password protected wifi networks of the place on our devices.
16) On checking out the owner said he had not recieved the funds and would not let us out until we proved we paid.

I showed up and the owner advised me that he was fully booked (regardless of the fact that I had a confirmed Booking 😡). Because I booked using my credit card it meant he would still get his full fee even if I didn't stay there 😦. Also, though the fee I was charged included breakfast, the place turned out not to even offer drinking water. The owner ended up putting me up in a nearby lodge which he claimed to also own.

Arrived an just over 2 hours before check-in & had to phone as there's no bell on the perimeter. I was told I'm too early and had to ask if I could please wait on the property. There is no children's play area, no jacuzzi, no table tennis and the pool is green and a breeding ground for insects. The room was however very nice & comfortable but the bedding was damp. Worst experience was trying to leave to go to a restaurant for dinner. We didn't get a remote for the perimeter gate, the only person on the property didn't speak English & couldn't understand my requests. She simply gave me the owners cell number which was different from the one I had but it didn't matter as they were both unavailable. The owner is a very nice and accommodating guy but he's not around much and the other staff/people on site severely lack hospitality skills.

We arrived at this Bed & Breakfast at 3.30pm, after having booked their ‘Superior Family Room’ for my husband, son and myself.

We had to phone the hostess from the gate as we couldn’t get in, only to be told to wait until she could confirm our reservation (which she asked me to verify on my mobile phone eventually). We were let in and directed to a parking place outside the room. There was a dirty car on blocks in the yard and the ‘crystal blue’ swimming pool on the bookings.com website was dark green and half full!

The room was very sparsely decorated with a double bed and a couch. When I enquired where the additional single bed was, as described in their advert for their superior room, we were advised that that room had not been vacated yet and that my son must just sleep on the couch.

We left.

I would NOT recommend this venue to anyone. The hostess was exceptionally unprofessional and the venue was NOT as it was advertised.

Photos are deceiving, you are not issued a remote control and have to phone to gain access or leave the premises... they don't answer the phone half the time.

Pool green, no towels no extra blankets, no heater, only sabc channels.
Living in the domestic quarters room that has been slightly modified. No cupboards.
Disgusting behavior from staff when we tried to leave... even assaulted a colleague who was with me.

This is a terrible place to stay at and the worst of it is, they have an overflow place at 76 Pritchard street that is not listed. When you have problems at this place they even put you in a worse place where people can even die with the open electricity wires and plastic bags used instead of insulation tape and plugs that is suppose to be in the wall hanging out of it. The rooms smell too terrible, you don't get amenities and the service from staff is very very poor. Not worth your money so stay away from both these places. It needs to be inspected and shut down as problems will arise. Toilets are broken, doors can't close and at 130 Market we slept on a bed cover and not linen.
