We're based in the USA, but we have family and friends in South Africa. We used to return to Johannesburg annually and we stayed at Rockridge Manor's "Cottage" in 2016 and 2017 and I gave a glowing review entitled "The best place to stay in Johannesburg!" Well, it still is!! We've just returned from a delightful stay with Brenda and Tom! They remembered every detail of our needs: our gluten free diet and the fragrance free environment we needed in the cottage. We really feel at home every time we go there. Fabulous breakfasts, great conversations, lovely gardens and pool, central location, free secure parking. Thank you Brenda and Tom!

After 12 years we came back to this B&B and enjoyed the warm hospitality of Brenda. The Treetop suite is wonderful and the breakfast is a class of its own.

Rockridge Manor is a real "home-from-home", Tom and Brenda make you feel so welcome and nothing seems to be too much trouble. My room was great, really good size, very comfortable and everything you need to hand.
Brenda does a fabulous breakfast, lots of choice of cereal, fruits and yoghurt and then a hot breakfast cooked to order. She also has an amazing collection of place settings and crockery - everyday was different!!
Tom and Brenda were able to suggest lots of different places to eat and also some activities for the weekend (they can arrange to book tours for you too). There is free WiFi and a swimming pool set in the lovely grounds around the house.
If you are looking for a change from standard hotels then I would thoroughly recommend Rockridge Manor!!

A really nice and pleasant surprise with this B@B. The rooms are very comfortable and cozy with an African theme. The shower is inclosed in a little private garden and the bathtubs are directly below the sunlights, so you can stare at the stars while you soak. I stayed in the cottage which is equipped with all the necessary items to make this a home away from home. The owner Brenda is one of the nicest person's I have meet and went out of her way to accommodate my needs as I was racing a cycle race early the next morning and needed extra food very early in the morning. There's a comfortable lounge that leads to adjoining bar with a massive billiards table. All in all a very well deserved 4 stars.......

Rockridge Manor is worthy of its 5 star rating. We had to visit Johannesburg briefly, and when we found ourselves in the comfortable luxurious accommodation provided, we wished we could stay longer. The proprietor is efficient and charming, yet unobtrusive. Brilliant!

This is a super venue with everything you need for a great stay. The rooms are spacious and bright, the beds comfortable, the breakfasts are amazing, and the whole place has a peaceful and serene atmosphere. Brenda provides attentive service and is very accommodating to individual requests and needs. It's more like a home from home than you will get anywhere else. Highly recommended!

We have been going to Rockridge Manor Guest House for the last 8 years and it is with great confidence that I recommend Rockridge Manor as the best Guest house in Johannesburg. I have no hesitation to give it a rating of excellent. In all the years their standards have remained excellent. The hosts Brenda and Tom are friendly and welcoming and make one feel at home straight away. Brenda cooks breakfast herself according to your taste and there is a wonderful array of anything you could think of for breakfast. All the suites are tastefully and luxuriously decorated a pleasure to relax in. Every year we look forward to our stay in Rockridge Manor.

This is a bed and breakfast guesthouse with a difference. It is set in a large, private and quiet tropical garden, with a swimming pool and lovely terraces from which to enjoy the bird life. It has very spacious and generous amenities, including lounges, a billiards room and bar (where your friends are welcome!) and a dining room, as well as parking. It is possible to order a light dinner too. There are four spacious rooms in the main house and a separate and private, well-appointed one-bedroomed cottage. The hosts are welcoming and pleasant. I have had a very comfortable stay and will return.

Its as advertised and worthy of the 5 star rating. The hostess, my name sake, is welcoming and friendly. The place is quiet and private and the place looks as it does in the pictures on the website. The two dogs were a welcome addition!

For the last 7 years we have been staying at Rockridge Manor every year when we come down to Johannesburg and it is always a wonderful experience with every need for the traveller catered for. The Tree Top Suite is luxorious and stunning . Brenda goes out of her way to personally make you a breakfast to suit your needs. Always pleasent and welcoming.
