Spent 3 nights while attending a course nearby. What a pleasure to find peace and tranquility in the middle of Johannesburg! Marian, Lee, Margaret and Maryline went out of their way to ensure my comfort and I felt very at home. Beautiful well-appointed room with views of the garden, delicious breakfasts and a simple tasty dinner on the one night I stayed in. Easy access to nearby restaurants. Highly recommended.

The key to this lovely place which is perfect for a retreat for an organisation is the incredible, incredible staff. Their cooking, their service, the way they remain present yet not on top of you as a guest is much appreciated. The space is lovely and it's a restful respite. Thank you all!

I am pleased that I found 4Living for a quick one night stay. 20 min from the airport, it is exceptionally well appointed and clean.

After a little muddle up on my bookings, Lee went out of her way to help me get settled in.

Thanks for a restful night in your guesthouse, I am certain that I will be back.

I cannot say enough good things about 4 Living Guesthouse and the staff there, in particular Fuluphelo and Maggie who looked after us so we'll during our 2 week stay. Due to a last minute cancellation we happened to have the entire main house to ourselves for the duration of our stay so we really did feel like it was our home.

The guesthouse itself is perfect for a family like ours with several young children because the rooms are spacious but most importantly the gardens are large and very well maintained. Our children spent a lot of time playing outside as well as swimming.

We had such a wonderful time that it was actually saddening to leave, which never happens when we've stay in hotels but this has now officially become our first accommodation choice for any time we next visit Johannesburg, whether as a family or a couple.

Thank you to Lee and her team for making us feel so welcomed and well looked after, we look forward to coming back.

While I was in Johannesburg for work for two had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful place. Maggie's food better then anything I have ever tasted. The room absolute fabulous. Lee check on you during the day and the first day even before checking in for my first night she called ma asked if I knew the direction and what time I was coming. My stay there was fabulous, I would recommend this place to anyone who will be traveling to Johannesburg anytime.

Stayed at one of the guesthouses linked to 4Livings. Terrible experience, no lights in the bathroom, no TV first night, bad pillows, arrived at second night at 19h00 only to find house locked, had a key, however no lights, could not find the keyhole in the dark - had to find my way in a massive house, had to ask for a key to lock my room's door up the stairs to my room in the dark....... overall a weird experience!

My family and I have just returned from 12 fabulous days to my former hometown of Johannesburg and I am so happy that we had the opportunity to stay at the 4Living Guest House. What a fantastic accommodation. I cannot begin to tell you how well we were treated by all the staff at 4Living Guest House. The attention to detail was overwhelming. The service top notch. The rooms and en-suite bathrooms were luxurious. And the price was unbeatable. I highly recommend this accommodation to anyone travelling to South Africa and in need of a fantastic place to stay in Johannesburg. I will certainly be recommending this place to all my friends and family who are thinking about going to SA in the future! Thank you Maggie, Margaret, Mbongi, Lee and Marianne for making our stay such a memorable one!! Toby Tobias

While Jo'burg has a bit of a reputation for not always being easy, 4living guesthouse is a wonderful little bit of peace and tranquility in the city. The gardens are beautiful, and the rooms airy and attractive. Breakfast was excellent. The Norwood shopping mall is about 15 mins walk away, with various cafés etc.

This guesthouse is a peaceful haven. The house features interesting artworks and the rooms are tastefully furnished. The breakfasts are most pleasant allowing for personal tastes and if the weather is fine served on the verandah over looking the pool and beautiful garden. The host Lee is most accommodating and does a great job to make guests welcome. Highly recommended!

The guesthouse was conveniently situated for our conference venue as well as for evening entertainment/eats at Melrose Arch. Lovely spacious room with adequate heating and solar lighting (in case of loadsheding) provided. Willingness to assist with everything from information regarding take-outs, taxis to the airport and blankets to take to the cold conference venue. Thank you ladies!
