My wife and I arrived for our reservation at this hotel and found it closed. They had not notified us or cancelled our reservation. This is the epitome of poor service. Luckily we were able to book a room at The Residence, where we had stayed previously
This is probably One of the most beautiful boutique hotels I’ve ever been. It’s Very stylish with stunning designs and lots of character. I stayed in the Acacia Suite which had a tub and a balcony. I took an Uber from the airport and it was about 30 minutes ride. The neighborhood seems to be residential. Very clean and quiet (not much to do around, but i took Ubers everyone). For breakfast I had to choose from the menu and they served it to me to the dinning room. I didn’t see any other guest Neg: 1. They hosted someone’s bday party while I was there so I couldn’t have dinner in the dinning room and the music was playing until midnight . No told me this was happening or apologized for that in advance . So it was quite frustrating knowing that i needed to wake up early for a flight. 2. I wish they gave me some guidelines about the hotel (breakfast time, how to order it, pool time opening / closing/ etc....) 3. Very few outlets in the room. Was challenging to find one to charge. 4. Couldn’t switch on the a/c so it got very warm at night. Despite the neg, if I ever come back to Johannesburg, I’d probably give the Munro boutique hotel another chance. …
A stunning hotel with an amazing view of Sandford. The room was stunning and the staff were fab. A very chilled and laid back feeling in the hotel. They arranged airport pick ups and trips with a local company who were fab too (knd tours).
Exquisite views and the food and hospitality is brilliant. Rooms are beautifully appointed. Owner run and managed makes for a home from home experience. Or should I say home to palace. And the gardens. OMG. Paradise!
We had a beautiful stay at The Munro. The staff was incredibly attentive and the room was beautiful, with a large comfortable bed and a view overlooking the courtyard. The bath products were very nice too! The hotel is located in a very pretty neighborhood with many great restaurants nearby. It definitely helped kick off a great trip to South Africa.
